James mused at his desk, brooding over the most recent news brought by one of his valued customers. The city was grounded - badly, and the reactors were unstable - either from sabotage, impact, or general misuse of the Sundrite-Conversion-Effect. The magnitude of collateral damage was enormous, and the potential fallout worse.
The scholar sighed. Netheril had been toppled by over-reliance on their legendary mastery of the arcane - and those who failed to learn from history were doomed to repeat it. However, those who did were suddenly in a position to capitalize.
He had left the State taken this job for a reason, and unfortunately times such as now were one of them. Lifting his letter-stamps from their ink-pad, multifaceted elf set to work.

In the days following The Fall, Mirakus Post finds its resident Artifax at his most industrious. Caravan drivers working with the Corporation are given competitive offers (and bonuses for priority delivery) for deliveries of stone and lumber to the Pit. Capable laborers and architects find themselves with tempting comissions to assist in reconstruction efforts. Mercenary contracts are posted with hazard pay to ensure safe and timely delivery and returns through the bandit-ridden Crossroads. Travelers and runners are queried for the survival or whereabouts of Captain Tidestrike, Custodian Dent, and countless other employees working at the Factory when the assault struck. And in his downtime, the Brass Elf of Exigo pokes around in the corporate warehouses, collecting and repairing what Slicers and Golems he can find.
Improving things was his specialty. A broken city-state was just another item to add to his list.
((Given that my playtime is limited, figured I'd participate via Forum-RP. Anyone passing through Mirakus after The Fall aught to feel free to drop input.
Cheers,
Kit))
