The cold air swept across the small, out-lying farm where Garren and his mother resided. A knock at the door brought Garren up to answer. There, stood elegant and strong was his fostered sister Aletta.
"Go home Aletta, your not welcome here."
He goes to close the door but a ghostly foot stops the door from closing. As Garren looks up he faces a dark shadow.
"You shouldn't of done what you did to me -- I was nothing until Bane came for me. Now Bane shall take you aswell, you unworthy wretch of Tyr. Attack Shadow!"
The shadow sweeps his arms down onto Garrens chest knocking him to the floor. He picks himself up and un-sheathed his sword, twirling it in his hand.
"I've changed Aletta, you'll see."
He lunges at the shadow and hitting it critically perfect into the centre of its head it vanishes into a shroud of darkness..Aletta gasps, brings out her mace and swings at Garren.
"I don't want to hurt you Aletta"
She lunges forward, mace high in the sky. Garren swings his sword into the stomach of his fostered sister which erupts into a puddle of blood. Aletta falls to the floor in pain, as Garren looks at his sword a-wash with blood. He picks up her body and places it into the back of his wagon. He then whispers into the horses ear;
"Ride, go home."
Then the horse rears up and speeds of into the distance as Garren watches it until it vanishes. He then re-enters his home, where his mother asks him who was at the door. Garren replies,
"Just some children mother, *nods* Just some children."
