After returning from a long patrol, Giledan says some good-natured farewells to the fellow Blackwoods he was accompanying. Looking forward to a beer and a game of cards in the barracks, Giledan is surprised when he catches odd glances from several soldiers hanging around the entrance. He eyes them quizzically as he approaches, and they turn to the posted notice. "Oh," he says after reading the order. "Oh my. I reckon the cards will have to wait gentlemen. Perhaps I am getting raise," he jokes half-heartedly before looking around for his sergeants.
