  • Attack on the Shrine of Sehanine Moonbow

Rumors would start to reach all in the valley, especially any who call themselves a friend of nature. Accounts of the actual events vary but the general consensus is as follows:

Breeze and Jarent were talking at the Shrine in Viridale when a figure in dark armor and a dark helm approached with a skeleton in tow((Landristin Lyonstongue)). Jarent spoke to the figure though Breeze was not close enough to hear. When she moved closer the figure stated he intended to defile the shrine with urine and blood and offered the opportunity for both to leave. Jarent stood his ground and so did Breeze. Then the fighting began. Instantly Breeze lost control of her body and found herself unable to attack the figure. Unable to do anything she watched as the figure summoned some kind of creature((believe it was a dread knight)) and proceeded to attack Jarent. Once Jarent fell the figure commanded Breeze to take the unconscious body of Jarent and leave. He stated this was a mercy and to spread word of what happened. When asked his name all the figure said was, "Do you wish to be my meal this night? If not, then no, you may not." Breeze then collected her companions and took him to the Temple of Selune for healing.

Any who visit the shrine would find it covered in blood and urine. Throughly defiled.

His mercy was perhaps greater than indented. It was quite unexpected on both sides. His intent was as clear as he could make it, but the male wanted to be defiant. Just as well, it suited him. He had offered his allowance.... leave, and peace would be had.... they .. he especially would have none of it. He had met Breeze before in combat and was not interested in being stuck by her arrows. So he waved his hand to her, and she quickly became dominated to his words. "Kill them!" He yelled, but still she fought with her instincts, a trait he admired. None the less, his knight proceeded to assist, and soon the male was put down.

They were given their way out, still pride prevailed. They would not leave under his warning. It was only then things then deteriorated. The man was quickly put down, and given to Lyandristin's intentions to soil the shrine, he felt need to let the female, Breeze, escape with word of what had happened.

Blood, and urine would disgrace the shrine of the Sehanine this night.... little they could do would dissuade him.... and he would not let this woman who had attacked him once before stop him again.

With the defilement of the shrine, the corruption that seeps through the Viridale begins to encroach upon the clearing that once bore Sehanine's blessing. Healthy vegetation begins to wither and the local fauna that once took shelter under the gaze of the Moonlit Mystery now fall to rage and madness.

Upon Hearing word of what had happened to the shrine, Baeleth begins to feel enraged. He could not stand for such defilement. He vowed to take temporary leave from the Legion and find, if any, a troupe with plans to wade in and attempt the cleansing of the shrine. No magical abilities or prowess would help him in the purification, but he would do all he could to ensure that anyone who could do these would be allowed to.

((My wood elf is definitely in on any event to cleanse the shrine.))

Tears stream down the cheek of the Mhaornathil as she stands witness to the defilement of her shrine. Without thought or pause for her troubled breath she speaks litanies upon litanies of revenge in both her native tongue and the fey language. The old panther at her side, hisses and retreats with arched back as the mood of his humanoid companion reaches that of a thunderstorm. As the words and curses dry out, so does the tears. A single pure green emerald eye darkens. The Mhaornathil sets off north-west with gritted teeth and drawn bow.

(looks like none of the nature guys that were at the event last night had a chance to post it (it was pretty late) but the temple was cleansed and all the surrounding plants and nature life give instant euphoria to any who look around the shine in Viridale)

//// Jeez. All that pathos, wasted man. I was unsure whether My'athvin could clean it up water'n bucket style to begin with, give FE's post, but I suppose it fits My'athvin perfectly that Humans do the dirty work. Good job, but could you please write In a RP post?

Jeb rose from where he had been kneeling in front of the alter. Next to him Breeze and Jarent were also deep in prayer, they had all been there for hours, and were all exhausted in their task. The melodic sounds of Nora's prayer to the Oak Father echoed throughout the woods. She was asking for their gods help in bringing balance back to the last bastion holding back the corruption in Viridale forest.

When Nora had finally ended her prayer, Jeb used all of his strength he had left in him to cast the most powerful restorative spells he knew. Around the group that had come to help cleanse the shrine, birds began to sing, and the grass and trees seemed to come back to life. All at once, flowers bloomed around the shrine where there had been none before, and it was obvious that the taint, at lease at the shrine, had been cleansed. Even the mercenary Tyranus Blackbeard who had come to guard the group, fell to his knees and wept at the sight before him.

Thanks to the effort of the followers of Silvanus, and Meliki, the shrine of Sehanine Moonbow had been restored to its former glory.
