Lacking the ability to address the public, the Thayans resort to posting flyers around the valley, especially in the vicinity of the Port.
"People of Sundren,
It is with heavy heart that we write in response to the recent proclamations of Lady Meriadoc. It is true that we refused to beg help from the Triumvirate, but what the Lady neglected to mention is why. While I bear no love for the organization, I could look beyond my own petty squabbles if it would serve. The people of Aquor, however, cannot endure another pitched battle in their streets. No other city of Sundren has had to withstand such constant conflict, and we believe the city would not survive a clash between two zealotus religious groups. While churches and nobles are arguing over who gets the land, we are doing what we can to shelter the people who seem ignored in the strife.
The ban and embargo of our people and goods from the city only further exacerbates the plight of these poor souls. We are not frequent guests of Avanthyr, nor do we do much in the way of trade. Our recent transactions have been limited to donations to the sanctuary of Ilmater by the docks. We will respect the proclamation and cease these offerings, but we urge any who were reliant on this aide to come to Aquor; you will not find our gates shut to you regardless of political climate.
Do not believe all the slander, common folk of the valley. The Enclave is a business before all else, and a business needs patrons. You are the victims and currency of politics, but you are the lifeblood of business. We, at least, do not try to sway you with bold proclamations and whores.
