Drake walks along the side of the stream, his head lowered and eyes to the ground - not like himself. He looks to the steam as he stops and clasps his hand around his Tyrran necklace - the holy symbol given by his sister. He turns to the stream, falling to his knee's his head bowed as he says a prayer and then speaks.
"It was on that night I encountered a Drow for the first time. Through book I learned that Drow were evil, but I was taught by the Just God to reveal the truth, punish the guilty, right the wrong, and be always true and just in your actions. My first thought was to apprehend the being, but there were others who sought to do more…"
He slightly chokes trying to speak with worry in his mind.
"Tyr, you still bless me with your gifts… I must have done something right in your eyes. I drew my blade because a hostile group meant to kill the Drow on the spot – no truth revealed! What was her crime? I felt it necessary to first reveal her truth! But, Helmites were amongst the group… blades were drawn with the intent to kill.”
He clasps the pendant a bit tighter as he looks to the sky.
"We seek even justice among all, we seek fairness in all, and I guarded her life so as to bring her to trial. A just trial. I was not rash in my decision to apprehend her and bring her to justice, instead of a quick death. After I located her, I had others look into her heart… to see if she was full of wickedness! No. I learned she was sincere and spoke the truth when admitting she no longer followed the wicked God of her kind.”
At that a tear drops from his eyes, he looks to the ground with eyes closed as he places his other hand around his fist and grips tighter to the amulet.
"Wasn’t I being just? Wasn’t I being even-handed? I seek your divine wisdom to elevate me above the politics of this land. I remain true to my calling… my service to you. I ask your help in this time of doubt - when everyone else has judged me and sentenced me to my fate amongst men - I can only believe that since you continue to bestow your gifts upon me that I remain worthy and I am doing right."
He remains quiet afterwards, simply holding the symbol in hands tightly as a few more tears drop from his eyes.
