"I tell ya, those damn deaders were a might imposing lads." I exclaimed as the ale flowed and the few merchants and farmers gulped down the suds that I had just bought.
"I took my sword and gave em a right good thrashing, but it was thirsty work, I must tell ya lads. Why, one of em glowed green and gold all over and had a wicked scythe. I never did see such a sight before in all my days!"
I took another long drink from my mug of ale and then threw the lass a few more stags to keep the golden brew flowing about the Menacing Mariner, where I stored a few choice belongings and a bit of armor and such.
"I cut my way through the bastards and up to some right nasty looking building, all aglow with weird lights and all. I got ta tell you lads that my arm was weary, my mouth dry, and all I could think of was a bit oh ale and my cozy rooms here in this here establishment."
I took another long drink and wiped whipped the foam from my beard. "It took me a bit oh sword work ta make it through the press and grasp the flag my bosses wanted, but make it I did. Damnable thing those deaders."
I looked around at the lads and saw that half of em was drunk and couldn't understand a word I was telling and the rest were plumb asleep! Damn farmers!
