Slowly but surly two strange figures make their way into the forest...
"Anyway's you can tell me now that no one's around, what are you getting rid of?" The first figure wore smart and simple clothes, his head adorned with a stylish hat. His name was Nocte.
"My last project, it's been a bust" The other figure was dressed in a large full plate that covered all of his body "No way of finding out what I wanted to know". His name was Ryder.
"That doesn't tell me anything" Nocte nodded a little in jest, smirking as they kept walking.
Ryder glances to him and chuckles a little "It was that thing to do with the undead"
"Ahh" Nocte gave Ryder a knowing smile before stopping for a moment, rubbing his chin. "This way"
"I've been carrying around pieces of them for well over a few weeks" Ryder prodded his pack a little "Glad I got these sealed pouches, else I'd reak"
After walking off the trail a little Nocte points to the corner of a hill side "Around here is good"
"Alright, just a little hole should do" Ryder unsheathed his great sword, ready to plunge it into the ground.
"Do it under these rocks"
"Good idea"
"Harder for animals to find" With that Ryder used his greatsword in order to lever the boulder up, flipping it up-side down and letting it rest on anouther rock. Slowly he began to take out a number of small pouchs, and began to unseal them. Ryder began to place some very strange objects where the boulder had been, a ghouls hand, two large bones, a small cutting of a tree, a rotten bone, a vial of blood, a vial of water and two small hand fills of soil. Finally he opens a box, dropping a dead badger on the pile.
"Right..." Perhaps Nocte wanted to ask what the dead badger was for, but something at the back of his head told him not to ask.
"Stuff's useless to me now" Ryder picked up his sword again, ready to lever the boulder onto the pile but Nocte stopped him.
"Here hold on, let me push a bigger boulder on top of it"
"I'll help" So the two lined themselves up with one of the larger boulders and prepared themselves. "On the count of three..."
"One two three! Go!"
"Alright!" With a staff in hand Nocte managed to lever the boulder up quite high, but Ryder tried to use his sword and couldn't get a good footing. The rock heavily tilted to Ryder's side "You can do better then that!"
"I wasn't ready!"
"Hold it up for me as I try and kick it into place"
"Alright"
"You where counting now hurry up" With that Ryder got his hands firmly under the boulder, lifting it with all the might he could muster. Seeing his chance Nocte lets go of his staff, and as all the weight goes to Ryder he begins to struggle "Hold on".
Nocte moves back a little, positioning himself for the kick. He dashes forward and kicks the rock, causing it to only budge a tiny bit. However the pain echoed down Nocte's leg "Son of A!!!"
"Gah!" Ryder stumbles a little as the boulder moves, but he keeps himself up "What the hell was that?!"
"I wasn't ready!"
"Just push it already!"
"On the count of three! One. Two!" Together the boulder edges foward a little, until it falls down on the desired spot by itself.
"Gah!... Bloody thing" Ryder shakes his throbbing hands a little, but then looks around the area. "Alright.... Just gonna do one last thing" He takes out a small axe and hurls it at a dire badger, enraging it to come closer, and killed it as he rushed him.
"That was thougher then I thought it would be"
"Not having any bloody druid ask the animals who put this here"
In the distance a lone and wounded ranger limps up to them...
"Hide it!" Nocte notices the ranger first. But the Ranger is already up on the hill with them "Run he caught us!"
"Shit!"
"Damn it!"
In a blur the two make their way back to the edge of the forest... leaving behind evidence to a terrible experiment...
