Kreeg found the young Helmite's request laughable.
"For our help, we request you do a service for another within Sundren. You will help someone you might not otherwise help, and you will ask for no reward in return."
The Church had seen to his wounds, injuried as he was when we was dropped at their doorstep, so of course he accepted. Killing for him was often it's own reward...the thrill of hacking into an enemy and watching the life drain from their eyes as they crumbled before him, it was those moments that he felt most alive.
They did not seem to want coin for the healing of his wounds. It seemed a shallow thing to promise as well, because he could more than likely find some form of payment from the trouble he would face when helping someone else.
As he made his way out of the oppressive atmosphere of the temple, Kreeg thought absently to himself.
"Help someone....well, as long as there is killing to be done, what does it matter?"
