  • Path of the Storm

A bolt of lightening shot through the sky near Schild mountain. The vigilant Veritas searched above for the source of the possible forewarning of a storm, but the sky held no clouds. However, the path up the mountain held a rather small cloud of dust and light. An electrical storm rushed towards the guardians. They raised their weapons to no avail, for one cannot stop a storm. They tried to move, but the storm was too quick. A lightening bolt shot from the center of the storm cloud, accompanied by silver locks of hair and a beautiful face with a devious grin. A woman encompassed by light and steel stood in the place where the storm stopped. The 'lightening bolt,' a long, steel spear that crackled with electricity and divine power had carefully placed itself between the first guard's ribs and right through his heart. The storm cloud's grin widened a bit along with the man's eyes. She adjusted her stance a bit, planting a foot to the side and swings her spear over her head, launching the man over the tip and removing him from the weapon. He lands a fair bit away to take his last ragged breaths. Hesitantly, the others charge and begin to fire their bolts. She surges forward, skillfully deflecting arrows and blades to the side. The few that do strike her seem to simply bounce off, causing her no harm whatsoever. She makes her way up the side of the mountain, slaughtering every man and woman in her path. Her eyes were wild, and her actions were quick and decisive. The storm cloud made the ascent of the mountain seem nearly effortless. As she reached the top of the mountain, she places one foot atop the now lifeless body of one of the guards and roared with the ferocity of thunder: "I am Vala! Fear the power of Talos! Fear the storm!"
"Was I your knight in shining armor? The apple of your eye? Or just a step, another step to climb?"
