  • A letter to the Legion

To those that it may concern, I Jericho Priest of Tempus, have witnessed crimes that have taken place against myself and others. It is my wish to confess that which I have seen. I have evidence that can be used to divine the nature of these crimes. I shall willingly submit myself to the spell Discern Lies to further prove my case. To contact me, use this lock of my hair and the spell known as Sending. I am currently in hiding as my life is in danger with the knowledge that I hold.

    Those accused are as followed;
Two Aurilites, one a warrior, one a priestess.
    Kyle Rendell of the Blackwood
    and the Thayan Knight Lauan.
"Service to a cause greater than yourself is the utmost honor you can achieve."

Near the ruins of the old Legion watch house, the Master Watchman scans the letter.

"....What in the hells? Dangerous information? Life in danger? Kyle Rendell?"

The Watchman blinks a few times, re-reading the letter over. He sets it to the side and considers.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to bring the guy in. This entire business sounds like one huge waste of my time, though. As if the Commander of the Thayan Knights would risk her position by getting involved with that idiot, Kyle." He snorts in amusement. "I'll have one of the rookie mages bring him in."

He sends out an order to bring one of Sundren City's newer mages to the Military District, and updates an All Points Bulletin with the priest's information.

Rose nervously fidgets with her hat in her hands as she approaches the Legionaires outside the burned watch house.

"Um... sirs" she says as her lower lip quivers "Sir Dain said I should speak to you about the bandit Kyle." She glances about as tears begin to well up in her eyes.

"I fear for my life sir, he has assaulted me once, uttered death threats to me and if it wasn't for Miss Anasath and Miss Lauan, Kyle would have surely killed me at the cross roads." she says, her voice trembling.

"He has been hunting me, and I am afraid to leave the city. I hear he has posed as a bandit king to harass travellers on the roads, but i guess the other merchants are too scared to come forward.... so I must, for all our safety." she says as she fidgets with her hat again.

"Its not safe with Kyle out there swinging his sword at everyone, and now he is advertising himself as an indescriminant killer. I can't stand by as innocent citizens are put under his blade sir, for no other reason than being on a road." she says as she hands the watchman one of Kyle's posters, now stained with the tears of a frightened Hin.

"How long do innocent citizens have to be preyed upon by this bandit sir? If it isn't the Luskans, goblins or the rebels, then its Kyle. Life is hard enough without getting your head lopped off by a maniac swordsman sir."
Butch: "You know, when I was a kid, I always thought I was gonna grow up to be a hero."
Sundance: "Well it's to late now."

        Toons:
        Mittens Whitepaw (Feral Druid),
        Rose Thimblefoot (Simple Seamstress),
        Melody Mourningsoul (Cursed Bard)
