The Soulforge clan is known for its members' devotion to Moradin, as the clan is always lead by one of Moradin's clerics. The current clan head is Thorvald's grandfather. Thorvald was born the year after the Thunder Blessing, and his was one of the now common twin births. Thorvald took to his clan's traditions in typical Dwarven fashion, but his younger brother Kolgrim did not. His aspiration was to be a wizard, which the clan did not have a problem with. The two brothers both decided to specialize in crafting, Thorvald in armor and Kolgrim in weapons. The two developed a friendly rivalry, and two years ago a competition began. The two would venture out into the world and advance their crafting knowledge. The better craftsman after twenty years had passed would win. With 18 years left in the contest, Thorvald arrives in Sundren, seeking to perfect his craft.
Thorvald is a cleric representing the crafting aspect of Moradin. He will be taking all the magical enchantment feats, but his true passion is armor crafting. As time goes by, he hopes to take on apprentices or perhaps start a crafting guild. His greatest fear is that his work may be used for evil purposes, and does whatever he can to ensure that it won't.
