  • A Bard's Tale

*Using the proceeds raised for the previous Sundren Brigade mission, Icharus finds an excellent idea to put a decent percentage of the funds to good use - three thousand stags are used to purchase various types of food and fresh water from the vendors in the Trade Tier of Sundren; steaks made from local wildlife, pressed and fried starch patties from potato suppliers, and a leafy, vegetable plethora of fresh flora from nearby farmcrops. Another thousand is spent on the hiring of services by a recently aquaintanced Elven bard who frequents his time in the Second Wind Inn. With enough supplies to feed an army, Icharus and his bard companion make their way to Port Aventhyr - the sounds of the epic tale of the feeding of the needy just beginning as their feet walk along the trail!*

*Arriving in Port Aventhyr, the duo reach the city and move with haste to the streets filled with the unfortunate and desolate. Icharus finds a nearby crate and stands on top of it, calling out, rallying the beggars and orphans of the city*

Those in need, I ask for your ear this day!

I, Icharus Vitarri, have gazed upon you in sadness and wretched disbelief that nobody comes to your assistance! Today, representing myself, The Arbiter's Alliance, and the remnants of the Sundren Free Brigade, I wish to provide for those destitute and forgotten!

*Icharus motions to his bard friend, who begins to play a soft musical ambience to accompany his speech*

The recent news of the world has been desperate and fearful; I will not lie to you! Rumors of the dissemination of the Sundren Brigade are true! More engaging and bolder threats of violence emerge from The Black Hand almost daily! Sundren faces dark times..

*Icharus steps down from the crate, walking amongst the crowd for a more involved presence*

.. but these are dragons we can fight! There are men in women in this land who would give their very lives to see all of you with a warm meal and in a bed to rest...

*Icharus looks down to a nearby malnourished child orphan*

    .. especially for our children.

*He turns back around and moves to his original spot by the crate, producing the large amounts of food and water purchased from Sundren with a smile*

Every man, woman, and child here.. know this: you have not been forgotten. There are still those who care about you; care for you. Efforts are being constructed right now to bring each and every last one of you the stability and comfort you deserve, and at the very least, a building with a roof over all of your heads. A place for you to call 'home'.
You have my personal guarantee that this effort will come to pass, even if by my hand alone! I offer you a meal and water as promise!

*Icharus arranges the men, women, and children into a single-file line and helps them individually, satisfying every person down to the last man.. with smiles on the streets and a lighter feeling in the air, the two left the Port that eve, the glow of the evening sun looking even more amazing than usual..*
