    Deity: Oghma
    Age: 25

    Weight: 180 lbs (81.6 kg)
    Body Build: Lean, athletic

Equipment Commonly Worn: Breastplate; Heavy Shield; 2x Short Swords; Greatsword; Morningstar; Crossbow; Hunting Knife; Hunting Kit

Jewelry Decorations: Gold Circlet; Cross Family Insignia; Holy Symbols of Oghma, Helm, and Garagos

A Gather Information check (DC 24) might reveal that Vladimir:
    - Sells his sword as a monster hunter
    - Was born in the Western Heartlands
    - Is from a family that has hunted monsters for generations
    - Tends to be cold and aloof (most of the time)
    - Especially despises vampires
    - Often travels in the company of a Garagosan named Cullen Thrax'xis

    Appearance:
This light-skinned man has hard green eyes, with a ring of gold around the pupils, and shiny black hair.

His body is lean and well-muscled, and he stands around five-foot-ten. He carries himself confidently, with grace, and he speaks with a faint Chondathan accent.

He is usually, but not always, clad in a suit of battered breastplate, with a greatsword and a shield hooked to his back, a morningstar and a crossbow hanging from his hips, and a pair of short swords strapped to his legs.

He wears a cruciform insignia on his cloak, and the holy symbols of Oghma, Helm, and Garagos around his neck.

    Journal Description:
This heavy, black book appears to be well-used. Its corners are locked in thick silver casing to prevent damage to the tome, and it exudes a faint aura of power when held in one's hands. The pages within are all of the highest quality paper and lined around the borders in a thin filigree of gold. The writing inside is fluid and graceful, and, for the most part, completely alien to the majority of readers.

Lore DC 15: The largest part of the text is written in draconic, the language of dragons and their kin, and can be read by those fluent in the language; some of the text, however, is written in code, and is almost completely indecipherable. The first couple of pages are written in common, as are all the monstrous notes and hunting tips (except where otherwise noted).

Spellcraft DC 15: This book has several minor enchantments interwoven into its fabric, mostly to protect it from weathering, wear and tear, and fire damage.

    Journal Introduction:

There is a very short statement of purpose on the journal's first page:

in inceptum finis est -|- in the beginning is the end

This journal is intended to serve, primarily, as a record of my adventures in Sundren. This record will include my own writings, as well as important correspondence and contracts. I will additionally be using this book for my research notes, as well as for general observations and theorizing.

Sundren, for both Cullen (my partner and associate) and myself, is a new beginning. Neither of us are familiar with this new land, nor with its monstrous population. I intend to record our introductions to these things, so that those who come after us will have our experiences to build upon and add to their own.
