    Background
"Divination - when mastered - will let you be everywhere at once. You will see be able to see thing leagues away as if they were only inches from your face, and in time you will see the follies of our past mistakes and the potentials of our future choices." -Derin Tallfellow of Neverwinter Wood

Chrisa is effectively an orphan. Whatever choices of those behind her lead her to the doorstep of the wizard Derin. A fledgling wizard at best in his day, but a master on the theories of magic none-the-less, the half-elf took in the small human babe. As her foster father, the man was honest and kind, giving her but five years before he mentioned her sudden adoption. For a child, at least, she took it well for the man was a good man and had never drove her wrong.

It was a happy childhood, filled with playing and helping with chores. Derin made enough coin and knew enough magic to make life in the wood of Neverwinter a relatively easy one. It would not be long though before young Chrisa would marvel at her father's magics and ask him to teach her. And what right did he have to deny her? So, at the age of six, she was being taught the basic theories of weaving magic.

It was not long before Derin realized that Chrisa was not what you'd call a normal child. The pace in which she was able to absorb and even cast the simplest cantrips was nothing less of amazing. She was especially adapted at divination spells, being able to detect magic at the early age of seven. Derin had heard of such spellcasting prodigies, but had never had the experience of meeting one and here she was - but a young child for the molding.

Derin took it upon himself to teach her the best he could and soon realized that she was also magic attuned to those things around her, able to pick out the most mundane-looking magical items. Unsure of where this child came from or who her parents could've possible been to produce such a magic-adapt child, he felt it his responability to teach her the wrong and right of the world as he knew it.

As the woman grew up and studied on her free time, it was not but a decade before before she was beginning to teach him a few new tricks of the trade. It was a good thing for her, as often the teacher learns as much as they teach. By the age of twenty, as sad as it was for the wizard, he gave Chrisa his own books on magic theory and bid her farewell to the world.

With one last piece of advice, "Remember: Magic is nothing without use. You must find purpose in it or it will go to waste. Good or bad - choose, and you will have more courage than those that waste away in research for it's own sake. I will pray, however, you stay on the path of good and have the courage to weather the dark storms," he sent her on her way.

... in time, she found her wandering lead her to Sundren.

Should I find that I reach the character limit, I'll post a second entry and update it as necessary.)

Melody of Faith (Updated: 2 times)

Chrisa arrived not a week ago on Sundren's soil and has since then made friends and allies, though most of them are counted amongst the Triad and it's paladins. While rejected from the magi order known as the Hand of Mugnus for not knowing the third circles spells, she has since then be invited to join the Triad.

Her interest in her friend's beliefs and goals within the three gods lead the paladin Darius Blackwell to offer her invination to the order, only if she wished it. Certainly a subject the young wizard was not familiar in - faith - she would often question if the three deities would accept her.

It seems she's gotten her answer from Lesser Adjudicator Dain and endeavors to teach her more of Torm, the Lord Fury, with the aid of Darius. The group of paladins have also taken a like to her, for her noble heart is hard to miss and despite whether she is a part of the order or not, willingly aids them against anything they face.

January 11th, 2011: Chrisa has now given loyalty mostly to Ilmater, but claims to aid all of the Triad in their noble endeavors. She is an initiate to the Triumvirate and quite possibly the first wizard to join the faith-base organization. Some mistakes have been made as paladin and wizard try to communicate on a deeper level than just the social one.

Melody of Friendship (Updated: 3 times)

With her arrival at Sundren, she has taken a liking to the Second Wind Inn, as most adventurers do. One time in specific introduced to the free-spirit Johanna or as others have referred to her as: Luckbringer. A term Chrisa has yet to understand or inquire about, Johanna was extremely friendly in introducing herself and quickly called Chrisa among one of her friends, even comparing her to Johanna's adopted sister, Emiliana.

Through this introduction she has met and befriended Darius, a paladin of the Triad order and found an ally in the officer of the Legion, Eli. It was not long before Chrisa was also introduced to more allies and friends among the Triad, including; Thud, Septimus, and Sariel.

In addition, her outting with a magi group has netted her the ally Owen (last name), a Loremaster.

January 11th, 2011: Chrisa has more friends in Aeria, Roland, and Valten. A paladin, samurai, and priest of Kelevmor respectfully. Though it's to be noted that Aeria is quite lital when it comes to speaking socially, Valten seems to give care and it capable of bantering back and forth when the situation arises. Roland seems to simply flirt with the young wizard.

January 15th, 2011: Due to Johanna's befriending of vampires, Chrisa quickly becomes unsure of her friend. There is a disappointed feeling that fills the young mage and at the moment, considers Johanna a bit of a coward for not choosing a side to stick with - she seems content with befriending good and evil.

January 28th, 2011: Due to recent conflicts with Johanna (as seen in the Melody of Love), she has quickly come to the conclusion that Johanna is not the type of person she wishes to call friend, though someone she's still consider an ally on some level. She's acquired an ally in Tigen, as well minor ones in a squire of Helm and an Archmage of the Hands.

Also, spending more time with Aeria has bloomed a friendship, though Chrisa is sure the paladin sees her as more than just that.

Melody of Love (Updated: 3 Times)

A surprise for the young woman, she has been asked to dinner for the first time by the paladin Septimus. Enjoying some time together, it seems she had caught the interest of the paladin in a conversation of magic theory outside the Second Wind Inn and by the river. She was a bit shocked, but happy at the request and looks forward to the date.

The date was a success, as Septimus took Chrisa to the Sundren Comfort Inn for dinner after gifting her with roses. Minor teasing and bantering issues as the two souls grow just that much closer and ends with a gentle kiss on Chrisa's lips. She's is excited to see her paladin again.

January 15th, 2011: After a talk with Septimus, they seem to have things together again. Before, Chrisa didn't feel especially close to the paladin as he didn't quite open up to her. Now that he has, she feels it may go somewhere.

January 28th, 2011: After some time, Chrisa decided that where she was being lead to by Septimus was not the path of love she wished and eventually broke it off. Despite a bitterness at first, they still stay friends.

After a very short fling with Johanna, she quickly decided her lack of loyalty to one person was too much to handle for the young mage and has since then become somewhat estranged to the other woman.

Melody of Magic (Updated: 3 Times)

All wizards know spells and can cast magic. However, a unique bond has developed between Chrisa and Cane - her rabbit familiar. Due to her magic aptitude, she has created an increasingly strong empathic bond with her familiar. As she often refers her to, the rabbit is a part of her 'soul.' Though outside rangers or druids it's hard to tell the mood of the small animal, often if Chrisa really enjoys someone's company or likes them, the bunny will snuggle up to said person and relax in their company. If she dislikes or hate said person, Cane will often try to keep her distance with the individual. Other habits are simply noted by subtle changes in Chrisa's mood.

Due to recent dreams of skulls and bones and the quick spread of the rumor of these nightmares, Chrisa has researched on a specific spell - to divine the meaning and possible source of any and all dreams. Now that she has the basics down, as far as she is aware, she is ready to test the spell. Though doing so requires permission from the Triumvirate as she wishes to use their temples... incase anything goes wrong.

January 15th, 2011: Chrisa attempts to find an artifact Mage Blade, a longsword that acts much like a staff would to most arcanists. She has also noted three known artifacts that have been explained by Darius.

            Scry
            Circle: 4th
            School: Divination
            Components: V,S,M/DF,F
            Casting Time: 1 Hour
            Range: See text
            Target: Magical Sensor
            Duration: 1 min./level
            Save: Will Negates
            Spell Resistance: Yes
            Meta Magic: Still, Silent, Extend

You can see and hear some creature, which may be at any distance. If the subject succeeds on a Will save, the scrying attempt simply fails. The difficulty of the save depends on how well you know the subject and what sort of physical connection (if any) you have to that creature. Furthermore, if the subject is on another plane, it gets a +5 bonus on its Will save.
            Knowledge ----- Will Save Modifier
            None1 ----- +10
Secondhand (you have heard of the subject) ----- +5
Firsthand (you have met the subject) ----- +0
Familiar (you know the subject well) ----- –5
            1) You must have some sort of connection to a creature you have no knowledge of.

            Connection
            ---- Will Save Modifier
            Likeness or picture ---- –2
            Possession or garment ---- –4
Body part, lock of hair, bit of nail, etc. ---- –10

If the save fails, you can see and hear the subject and the subject’s immediate surroundings (approximately 10 feet in all directions of the subject). If the subject moves, the sensor follows at a speed of up to 150 feet.
As with all divination (scrying) spells, the sensor has your full visual acuity, including any magical effects. In addition, the following spells have a 5% chance per caster level of operating through the sensor: detect chaos, detect evil, detect good, detect law, detect magic, and message.
If the save succeeds, you can’t attempt to scry on that subject again for at least 24 hours

Melody of Thoughts (Updated: 2 times)

              Quotes from Chrisa

"There is no point to magic without purpose."
              -Chrisa, on Magic

"Instead of blaming who's at fault, instead find a way to mend the situation. There is no use in dwelling on mistakes already made." -Chrisa, on blaming others

"Those who follow Myrkul tell us to fear him, but they fail to tell us why to fear him. I've been told he can be an unjust judge in the afterlife, but that hardly makes him a deity to be feared. Even if melded into the Wall of the Faithless, the memory of your sacrifices will live on forever, in some way. Simply know that you've done your best and you will have the courage to face whatever lies beyond this life." -Chrisa, on Mrykul's rising.

"Divination demands that you open your mind to all possibilites. You must never accept that anything is impossible. Instead, you must understand that anything is possible." -Chrisa, on Divination

"He ment his promise sword, a sword that was gifted to him to fight evil in this world. He's lost it and was asking if you've seen it." -Chrisa, explaining what Thud ment by asking about his 'promise sword.'

"Now you have." -Chrisa, when Jeshana mentions she has never met a wizard within the Triumvirate.

"Act like a paladin, fight like a warrior." -Chrisa, when giving Septimus advice on battle.
