Marcus kneels before the alter in the Temple of Myrkul
"My Lord, These lands are pathetic, the people here are all so "lighthearted". They go about life thinking that they're immortal, as if death is nothing to fear. It sickens me. They must learn to fear death, and if my miserable, useless colleagues are unable to show these non-believers how to fear death than I shall take it into my own hands.
Even these "immortal" vampires that we're supposedly allied with seem not to fear their fate which is death. I'll deal with them for now, but they too must learn to fear that which is Myrkul.
My Lord, I intend to strike fear into these simpletons of Sundren and bring back the fear and respect that you deserve. But first I must gain more power, power to remove those who disrespect you from this miserable world."
