It was a love that was doomed from the start.
They could not be any more different. Their faiths were just one part of it. She killed when she wanted to, spread fear around to the others. He did the opposite. But yet, they were drawn to each other. She knew from their first meeting that she had to have him. But why he first took interest in her still baffled her. Even when she was ordered to keep away from him, she was unable to. She had to continue to see him, even if it meant her being punished for disobeying.
Even after she was given the gift from her God, he didn't abandon her. She expected him to, she figured it would happen at some point. And she would not blame him. She had told him about her times of killing, and she expressed no remorse of the act. But he seemed to hold onto the belief that he could change her, change her back. Even though she has told him she has no desire to go back, he still tries. Was it love for her, or just him trying to be good? She couldn't say.
But then one night, he attempted to betray her. It enraged Ruby. She should have killed him for it. But she could not bring herself to swing the final blow. Both he and Amilynn lay on the ground from her attacks, though both were in self defense. In her anger, she fled. But soon after, he apologized. And now, the other woman was gone. For good though? It will be seen. But for now, he is hers, and she will do her best to keep it so.
