On the many practical applications of a large spoon:

I think I will start off with the most obvious application of a spoon, that being to eat soup with. Soup being a very large part of any self respecting higher intelligence's diet (more on that later). Another use for which a spoon is highly effective (as a certain cleric unfortunately learned) is for vampire staking. All you have to do is sharpen the handle to a point and vampires beware. Spoons can also be used as an item to focus your thoughts, I find flipping a spoon in the air helps me think, not true for everyone but I am sure it could help some. Oh yes, a spoon can also be used to club goblins and gnolls to death (best not to ask).

On the complete lack of flooding:

As many of you are aware, there is an extraordinary amount of rainfall in this valley. Surprisingly the creeks and rivers seem to take no effect from this. I can only assume some kind of dark force is at work.

On lighting followers of Auril on fire:

    Just don't, its much safer.

On my witnessed fight between the vampire Clive and two Dwarves teamed with a Paladin:

A valiant effort by the Paladin with him being able to resist the aura of fear, that being said I could see almost nothing after he engaged Clive directly. The dwarves were rather nullified by the aura of fear surrounding either the vampire or his summoned undead. First time I've ever seen Dwarves completely nullified, scared the hells out of me, good thing the sun came up.

    On soup:

Soup is quite possibly the greatest invention after the spoon. Your can be lacking in two different foodstuffs and just throw them in a pot of boiling water and have a meal.

    On the color Ooze Green:

Dark green is a nice color, looks good on almost anyone, Ooze green however doesn’t even look good on green ooze. Although it is kind of fitting since trolls are also roughly that color... (no more on that)

    An observation of loyalty:

I had the distinct pleasure of watching a shining example of loyalty and self sacrifice by an individual. He took it upon himself to distract someone he knows is a dangerous adversary so his friend could get away. Unfortunately his attempts to diffuse the situation were nullified by the driven nature of one of the stump guarding Paladins and three people got killed. This simply proves that paladins are just as dangerous to the existence of the world as the Black Hand or Clive is.

Why Robes and Dresses and big pointy hats will get you killed:

No-one likes to be set upon by the wrath of magic wielders that is why anything in a wizards dress is usually rushed or shot right off the bat. Even with the small tidbit of time being dressed like a respectable being gives you, you still might find a need to get some distance. A dress is not the best garment to be running in, you tend to trip on the hem.

    Various other:

I saw a reduced Halfling riding off into the sunset on a rabbit, very funny.

Erishkigal can be very warped, using a vampire head as a puppet?

It is ironic isn’t it that it takes clerics half the night to prepare for a vampire encounter, by the time they are done the vampire has either walked off or its daylight. Yet trying to face a vampire without a cleric is a bit dangerous.

There is no good and evil, there is only what is wrong and what is right in your mind, for every opinion there is one to balance it out, for every hero there is a villain, for every bit of chaos there is order, without this there is nothing.

    Further Musings

On the recent half suicidal trip to the Abyss:
Why was there a Fiend in the Abyss? Why did he claim to know nothing of the bloodwar? And what does he want with the vampire's god?

If he wants to make war with Colibrus all well and good but I'd rather face a few vampires than a horde of demonic foes...

Why did he need our help to find the Island?

What ever became of that Halfling rabbit farmer?

I'm left with more questions than answers...

On my recent trip into the Spine:
It was really really cold. Unfortunatly Thomp was too hard on the winter wolves and no pelts were recoverable. The Aurilites were surprisingly hospitable, perhaps my view on Auril needs adjustment.

      More Musing...well Rant

It has always been strange to me that I am expected to behave like an unwashed hyppocrate dressed in the skins of things he is supposed to protect.

Of course that is also part of what got me thrown out of the Oasis in Calimshan...

The worst of it is being told how to behave by one not of my faith, not of my proffesion, and not of my background...someone in no way recognizable as a peer.

I have tried very hard to remain true to myself as well as true to my faith.

I have never physically harmed anything that did not make the first move against me. I do regret some of it, an Aurilite comes to mind, but if its a choice between me or something trying to kill me or mine, I'm going to try to destroy the threat. Although I shouldn't I even give the undead a fair chance, especially those that retain memories of humanity.

I take special care with my magics as to not burn the forests, I dont even scorch the building walls.

I am who I am, I am what I am

I simply have a winder range of life experiences than someone Glade Born, Raised, and Bound

The world is a jewel I wish to protect, I cannot do that by staring at one Facet

I guess I should give up and not argue about it...

Mirakus Post is really a nice place without the undead, interesting that five people could succeed...

I feel, now that the scales are tilting away from them, they will strike in retribution and I fear what death it may bring, the balance is tenuously even, many interesting things can occur with that.

        Interesting Feeling

        A hollow victory

She misted and floated away, the results of Tigen's Healing and my Missle Storms.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth as she is no immediate threat to the populace. She feeds on the possessed of Argyle.

She cannot be allowed to succeed however, the dead should rest weather they be Gods or mortal races. Killing a god, even to bring back another, cannot be allowed.

And so I am marked to die by a dead general of a dead god

        Silvanus protect me!

          Worries

I'm beginning to think it's quite possible that some people are born to suffer.

Tigen as a woman, that is extremely funny.

I hope, for their sake, that the red wizards are not lying to me. Contact should be made with Thomp or myself soon and I can only hope for a simple and quick resolution, I have many other things to do right now than to chase rogue wizard's apprentices.

I find myself wondering if the dwarf is actually going to make his move...

well Sivanus teaches patience...am I a good student?

            Some things...

There is a bit of a lull in things, a bit of peace. While it continues we will continue to grow our influence throughout the valley. We will have a line on mithral soon enough.

We went into the mossdale again, defiled both the temples, or as the elven cleric said "purged the unholy blight" or some nonsense. It makes no difference, the warlocks, necromancers, and undead were destroyed for a while.

We did find a nice little bit about berserkers eyes though, it will allow us access to something very hard to get.

This lull is enough that I no longer have a plan...I know my task but cannot complete it alone, and if I try to formulate my own plans it could disrupt some very good plans laid down by others.

All I can do is wait.

Well I return and what do I find? Why a friendly neighborhood vampiress, could I dust her? Probably. Why bother? She will just come back same with the others...It is so ingrained within the common folk that they are there that it has become...acceptable

I feel old and tired and will retire I think, contenting myself to flirting with the ladies, tormenting undead, and enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest, maybe I can keep the blasphemous rabble in the glade from ruining it all...

I no longer care about the conflict here it will remain unresolved long after I am gone

                Can it be done?

I have made an offer to someone I do not know if I can pull through, it is well I worded it carefully. That being said I think I know what the answer will be.

It is sad, the regret and pain is clearly written in her demeanor.

Weather she wants it or not, it would be best if she were saved.

Sadly with the battle raging as it is it has caused a polarization, a black and white effect, of good and evil that is diregarding what is right and what is wrong. I may have to Dominate a cleric to get one to actually perform the feat, perhaps a Tormite, the irony would be worth the hassle afterwards, its a pain that there isn't an Ilmatori that can help, I fear it is beyond the Triumverates Broken Ones (someone should really fix them).

Oh well, she will probably say no anyway, which will leave her with a shortlived future as a statue, and one last sunrise...a better end that what awaits me on the tail end of this coin.

                  Long Enough

I have waited long enough for an answer...I will seak her out and demand it...it is time for her end one way or the other...I hope she makes the right choice.

It is definatly time to end them all.

                    Titles

It seems that every wizard of any clout should have a title that screams "Hey I'm a powerful insane magic user!"

I feel it would be interesting to have one of my own...see if I can get people to believe it...either that or killed by the Hands

Something that inspires fear and thoughts of "this guy's nuts"...

I think I'll try these two...Spoonwizza' just doesnt inspire people

                    The Archmage of Hedgewizardry...
                    The Archwizard of Hedgemagery...

I should alternate them to further confuse people
