  • petition against Legal Orcs

A piece of paper is seen in various taverns and Inns across Sundren all of them reading the same thing

"Citizens of Sundren, It has come to my attention that orcs, the same vile creatures that plague the Viridale forest and that our brave men and women of the legion fight against at Arbiter's post, are legal should they register with our legion. I cannot bear to think that our fair leaders would allow such a thing to happen under our very noses. These creatures fester disease and destruction of our very way of life and yet we allow them to walk our streets because they are not part of the clans that already plague us and stretch our legion thin across our country. There very nature should not allow us to let them continue freely walking among us, festering until they become a threat that we cannot handle. Why should we turn our backs, because the law permits? Then let us rally, change this law, abolish it! In order to protect ourselves from this threat we must rally and show our lord that this cannot continue. Can you sleep easy knowing that orcs walk freely past your homes, shops, fields, and children? Can you bear the thought that some of your hard work will feed these dark vile beasts instead of the hard working men and women of Sundren? If not, then I beg you, sign this petition and show that we will not stand for this to continue any longer!

May Lady Firehair protect our good hearts.

    ~Amilynn Steles~"

*ample space is left for the men and women of Sundren to sign below*

A tall, statuesque, mercenary strides by arrogantly, cloak flaring.

Seeing the petition, she reads it through quickly.

"Damn right," she sneers, and signs her name - or what you can assume to be her name - in harsh, angular and nigh illegible script.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
      Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

"You need to sign my petition!" Amilynn said to her fellow Sunite.

"Well, I do believe i can sign the paper." he smiles in his usual charming way.

Upon hearing this, she pulls out a copy of her petition - a private one for him. "You can sign this one!"

This man, Cirion, accepts the paper. But lacking anything to write with, the two make their way to the Corps de Grace headquarters and enter his office. There, where they have actual access to ink and a quill, he places his signature down. There his name is put down with fanciful handwriting, his support for this change.

        ************************************************** ****************

Iago Vitorrio drops by at the Second Wind Inn. There, before he is too blasted to realize anything, notices the petition.

"Huh. Should have known the government would allow those murdering, village-raping monsters about. Had family fight and die in the wars with them Bloodmaim Orcs. Figures; can't even rely on the government to do a damned thing," He grumbles.

Finding any point in bothering with this to be useless, the man then pays no more attention to the petition. Instead, he takes his bottle of Sundarian Ale and heads upstairs to his room for the night.

Reading a copy of the petition at the Second Wind, Malaclypse smiles somewhat bitterly and mutters to himself.

"These lands were theirs before ever your people came here. Such self-righteousness."

Looking around to make sure he isn't observed, the elf scrawls some truly vile comments in Orcish upon the document before wandering off.

          How do I get around?

Andy was on her way to her guild hall, she stops on the way and read the paper.

"We cannot allow such creatures walk through the civilized grounds, we cannot trusts these creatures, the war is everywhere, we cannot commit any more mistakes."

            She signs.

            ********************************************

A woman in a Red heavy armor walks through the city asking for directions. She notices the paper and stops to read it.

"I never thought that orcs could go easily like that. Well, now I am a legal citizen of Sundren, I don`t think I want the city turning into chaos."

            She signs.

            ********************************************

Marees steps outside the shadows to read the notes.

"Damn right she is, these damn bloody orcs can't come and go like this country was bloody damn playground. They better stay out of my sight, or my arrows will sing!"

            She signs.
"Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

A savage looking hin steps out of the shadows after the ugly dwarf and looks at the petition....He then promptly crosses out all reference to 'orcs' and replaces them with 'Dwarf' and leaves his initials behind in big black letters and a short message.. "P.G was here you pathetic bunch or bigoted losers" He then go's on to vandalize the petition and every other that he can find leaving the same message behind.

A few drunks look over the petition and start to accuse each other of being Orc-lovers, starting a tavern brawl. Apparently the same two started a tavern brawl over a barmaid not long ago.

Still, others sign the petitions, especially rubbing such into the faces of the half-orc patrons.

"All your beast bloods need to get the hell out of our lands!"

Fortunately, no half-orcs were harmed in the signing of the petitions. Mostly because nobody in their right mind wants to fight one.

"Who're the monsters here? The half orcs, who cannot change their birth, or the rabid crowd that bays for blood?"

After a few moments thought the big-nosed red-headed man chews the end of his pen and glances sidelong at a nearby pool of shadow.

                        "Quite right dear"

'Humans killed my mother, Elves took my brothers eyes, orcs my sisters life. No race is clean and pure, each a monster in another fleshy uniform. Vote for change. Vote for Omnicide'

Deep within the wilds of the Sundren, Sulfur cares little for politics.

If he were to have heard of the petition, he'd not care one bit - the concept of having to write on slips of paper to validate ones own opinion being a rather perverse concept to him.

Still, he'd admit no particualr care for orcs, aside from those he'd attempted to fool into worshiping his dragon-formed self.

They were, however, a source of occasional entertainment, particuarly when enraged and led upon unsuspecting Exigo employees.

One of the classier commoners reads, he fluffs his cuffs as he does so, the petition out loud to his inner city peers. A hand full of Sundren commoners line up to sign the petition in the entertainment district. They mostly sign with Xs, some with scribbles pretending to be able to write, and a few sign the petition with their actual names. Snooty nobles point and laugh at their attempts to change the laws.

"My my Wirthdrue, have you ever seen such a gathering of the poor?" Says a noble woman to her husband as she looks at the line with disgust. She is fairly large in size and is wearing a dress that cost so many stags that one could feed the Sestra Militia for a few months if it was sold. It is marvelous and gaudy at the same time.

"Indeed, Mildreed. I believe we should hire a few more of those Blackwood Mercenaries to guard our estate before this turns into a riot. You know how simple minded these people are. " Says the noble husband, Wirthdrue, as he smokes a pleasant smelling and overly priced cigarette on a cigarette holder.

"Oh yes. We wouldn't want to be burglarized." She suddenly gives a frightened look

"Illeglize ORKS NOW!" Screams a forming mob

"Oh my!' The nobles make a hasty retreat to their estate, their large bottoms waving upward in the air as they go.
