Two obviously unnaturally afflicted children, a boy and girl, approached us at the Trading Post, seeking aid. They claimed to be under the domination of a vampire who resided in the mountains over Aquor. Fearing they would be attacked on sight by any legionaries if they tried to solicit help in Sundren, we... Initiate Aidan and two other Archane casters, a Melissa and Dymtri Quartz as well as a mercenary called Vee.
Before entering the Manor grounds at the top of the Mountains I informed the Tower of our actions, should we not return. The vampires that attacked were wild unreasoning creatures save the children's master. I was badly injured and rendered senseless, during such time the mercenary Vee, vanished, either dominated or fled.
The male child was so despondent at not being free of the affliction with the death of their master he flung himself over a cliff before we could stop him. The girl we were able to convince that hope remained for her in the hands of the Triumvirate healers.
It was after the battle that Hadavi the mistress of the manor made an appearance, she was understandably not please that we were there but did not impede our departure, instead when asked for the child's freedom explain how this could be obtained.
Coming down the mountain we encountered a barbarian hunting party that attacked, during this attack I missjudged the girls possition and she was struck and killed by a lightning bolt spell I threw at one of the barbarians. Hoping she could yet be saved we made haste to the Sunite temple in Aquor, where our hope was realised, the child was promptly adopted by a noble lady who was in attendance at the temple.
Hands, to free a person who has been forced to partake of vampire blood, time away from further feedings will free them as the blood is worked from the body; as imparted by Hadavi. Resurrection will also free the afflicted party should they be killed.
The girl also told us, that while her master was in residence at the Manor, his actual resting place was deep beneath the Viridale.
I would also like to add that Initiate Aidan's performance was above reproach and deserves recognition.
