    The squall, that hit the small vessel just over a week into it’s journey, transitioning from discomforting to down right dangerous. That last swell had nearly unseated the small woman sitting below deck. One thing prevented her from being tossed like a child’s doll, the chair. The arm could be unlatched and swung open to allow one to sit with out pulling out the chair, which was made quite impossible by the fact that it was fixed to the floor of the cabin. Silently cursing her rash actions and what those actions had brought about, Eddelle sat staring at a drop of blood as it soaked into the fibers of the parchment she held beneath the first finger of her left hand. The first finger of her right hand held absently in her mouth, the metallic tinge of blood on her tongue.

    A small globe of light hovered above the small table, a silent witness to the small glimpse into the future unfolding beneath it. White changed to red, following the pathways of millions of woven fibers. Eddelle’s eyes unfocused and her subconscious took over searching for answers in the patterns being revealed.

    After a time she sat back with a sigh of relief. It appeared as though the Enclave would allow her to continue her studies, if the ship weathered the storm of course.
