ict: Dark Deeds at the Crossroads
Being acquaintanced with many of the farmers in the area is a benefit of residing at, and working for, the temple of Chauntea.
Vala knew the farmer who lived on the crossroads - he occasionally stopped at the temple to discuss which crops would be best for the coming growing season.
She was sure others would be by to offer him reassuring words in an attempt to calm his mind, but figured a familiar face would do the man much good. Though, this was not her only goal.. With this, she felt it may be possible to speak to the man alone and, perhaps, learn something of what happened on the night the elven man was attacked.
Before leaving, she offered the farmer refuge at the temple or, alternatively, that she would speak to some friends of hers in the Corsairs. If it was possible that the man may become a target, it would be necessary he remain in a safe location for a time.
Having given her goodbyes, she walked out into the yard and continued on her way back to the temple; stopping only momentarily to check inside the barn for something that may have been missed.
