It has been a little over a year since his broken and mutilated body was found in an ancient battleground. Found by Gyphon , a great and accomplished alchemist, beneath a large pile of rubble while looking for rare fungi. Gyphon, unsure if he could be revived, took him back to his remote inn in the countryside. After a month of potions and healing spells, Gyphon was surprised when the man finally opened his eyes for the first time, only to learn the man had no memory of his past. So with no clue as to who he was or where he came from, other than a strange instrument that was found with him, Gyphon offered him a place to stay until he was stronger. Over the next few weeks the man healed amazingly fast and started to try to help around the inn. Then one day Gyphon agreed to let a musical troupe play at his inn. As they play the man instinctively took out this strange instument and begin to play along. Noone had ever heard such beautiful, soul stirring low tones such as this, from an instrument before. The patrons of the inn and the musical troupe were mesmerised by his playing. so to earn his keep at the inn he began to play nightly with the troupe at the inn, and they began calling him Bassman. The name stuck. Then as he began feelin better he became restless, he needed to find answers as to who he was, and where he was from. So after thanking Gyphon for all that he had done for him, he began to travel. His travels took him to many different places, when finally he landed in Sundren. After arriving in Sundren he made friends quite quickly, as it seems the the people of Sundren seemed to be very friendly.and they all seem willing to help and guide him until he could get himself settled in. Bassman helped in many tasks assigned to him by the local authorities and various factions. Five people would mark the cornerstones of his life in Sundren, Vigo, Harik, Baragorn, Syne and the lovely Arawen. Vigo was the first to help guide him, as he was learning the ways of Sundren. He could never repay Vigo for all the kindnesses and guidance he had given him. Thats why it hit Bassman so hard when Vigo had turned to Evil, and even after, who they said was Vigo, attacked the trade post he does not believe it. Harik was another that was there from day one. Always made himself available to Bassman for help and guidance, another invaluable debt he could never repay to a true friend that had always been there for him. Baragorn was the shining light he aspired to emulate, Bassman went on many adventures with this true and pure soul. Baragorn also tried to help him comr to terms with the vision of Helm's guardian's intervention of Bassman's pending death after battling with a Yuan' Ti in Sestra's cave. Syne made him laugh alot, a real true friend, she never judged him or put him down, although she does call him Fishman which after time became an amusement to him. She is the only one he would allow to do such. And Arawen, He met her one day after one of the many rains in Sundren, playin in the mud, having a mud fight, soon after he arrived in Sundren. He and Arawen became very close in time, and his strong affections for her were very apparent, and will last him his lifetime. The others in his circle of good friends in Sundren that he would trust with his life are Nisa, Ariel, And Evan. Nisa has been his traveling companion thru many adventures and had been thru many very dangerous situations together, he knew he could always trust her no matter what the situation was. And Ariel and Evan the two that showed him what true love can be like. they were always there with a helping hand or friendly face he could talk to about anything.
