Wanted: Snakeheart Syne

Wanted posters dot the city walls. An eight thousand gold piece reward is being offered for the capture of Snakeheart Syne--dead or alive. The poster says she is wanted for treason, murder, being an unregistered Bantie, and a list of various other crimes. She recently escaped custody and is considered armed and dangerous.



In related news, a legion soldier has been hung for treason in the military ward. He was brave through his trial but never denied his treason--helping Syne escape custody. His final words were, "Tell my sister to live a good life."

Another soldier has gone missing. Reports say the Banites are striking back, living up to their promise of exacting twice the revenge on their enemies that they receive. Many fear a second abduction will occur.

Ru spots the poster whilst wandering around Sundren, he stops mid-bite of an apple and reads...

"Things in the Valley have gotten worse since I was last here." He mumbles to himself, and continues on, trying to remember if he knew of this Banite, and where he he last seen her.

Varsick nods lightly to the stranger as he stands near the poster smoking a pipe.

"Thaatt... that they have. Don'ttt pisss off thee Legion or they be... be framin' yous too."

He twitches as he inhales from his pipe. He lowers his hood over his eyes and moves on.

As Ariel views the poster she shakes her head, Syne has gone and done it now. As she reads, she doesn't consider the reward but the safe capture of her once friend with a quick and just trial. Syne deservs at least that.

As she walks the land, she stops, looking under wagons and behind bushes, in caves and tents, and always the people scorn. She offers polite replies telling each and everyone of them to help protect thier fellow countryman and give any information they have to Master Watchman Greenrich. She doubts many will, for it's a sign of the times where loyalty to freinds and country, security and justice, seem to vanish.

While she does not relish arresting Syne once again, she will do her duty as mandated. The people of Sundren must come before personal gratification as she vowes to leave no stone unturned, no bush unwhacked and no corner unrevealed.

Nisa sighs, looking down at a Hin height poster board, a fresh poster plastered over the remains of one torn off.

"Escape! that's cow crap. I was outside the watch when she walked out the front door, no escapee does that, as for the murder she was framed by that mooncalf Alex! How he got out of jail is the real mystery! Just another example of the legion trying to cover its rear end. Let some one go by accident then put a near certain death warent out for them to silence them."
