In the middle of the forest by the camp fire an unusual setting. A blackboard, a little climbing bench, a 3 foot long ruler... Urlurcyr in frustration smacks the board with his ruler.

Ulurcyr says "No no NO! Again with the waste of time. Keep your focus here not under the skirts of the lass you saw at the mariner. I will not teach you how to say (gnomish)Nice skirt, want an ale?(/gnomish) yet".

From the basic alphabet and numbers gasped rather quickly by Shiv he goes onto teaching the pronounciation. Letter by letter. Number by number. Frustration after frustration. He loose it and smacks Shiv behind the head with his ruler.

Ulurcyr screams at him "Focus!!!". Shiv looks at him with a glare but goes back to listening. He know Ulurcyr even with his unusual methods knows alot about languages. He knows all of the good people languages.((dwarf, elf, halfling and gnome)) He knows they need to know all of them in order for their plan to work.

Long hours of study and frustration. Gnomish is definitively hard to learn.

Rubbing his head shiv wondered why "My that skirt twould look good on the floor" was such a hard thing to be taught. Though he trusted Ulurcyr, being wacked in the back of the head almost made him draw a blade.

Perhaps "How much for an hour of your time?" would be easier. Another wack to the back of the head and he returns his focus on saying what is being taught.
