Something was made of interest to me, and I do wish to reiterate:
Folks, do not ignore the NPCs. The NPCs are there not just to give you another generic character model to look at, and they’re not just empty shells when not possessed at the time by a DM. If you’re discussing sensitive information, it may not be the wisest to do so within earshot of a barkeep (or in the middle of a street). Even if your character could possibly cleave through anyone that stands in their way out of the generic pre-spawned goons, that does not automatically give them access to armed holds that may not want them there.
Entering an area you have either a ban or limitation on entering, such as when being barred to a faction area, city, or have a stipulation on entry (such as when Red Wizards of Thay would need an armed Legion escort), doing it just because there are no DMs to regulate it or viable PCs to oppose it is not OK. To do that straddles the line between metagaming (via judging reaction by the playerlist) and exploiting (via that such complex, faction-related determinations cannot be scripted for every individual character). Either side you step on, you’re treading in crap.
I understand possible server-based limitations about this, though the only one I am aware of is booking passage to the Ixis isles, as the only available means to do so at the moment is through Sestra territory which is hostile for certain factions. If a DM is on and you are planning on OoC accessing an Avanthyr port for this task, please inform us ahead of time. Keep in mind, visiting a store or other game-mechanics actions in a region that you have been barred from does not lie under this sole exception.
