  • Miracle Berry. Good Berry?

Druids may not get the Good Berry spell IRL, but that doesn't mean you can't have them.

"...They were eaten before meals to make the meals taste better. "How?" you ask. By making sour and bitter foods taste sweet. "But how?" you scream. The truth is, science doesn't completely know..."

"The Miracle Fruit plant (Synsepalum dulcificum) produces berries that, when eaten, cause sour foods (such as lemons and limes) consumed later to taste sweet. The berry, also known as Miracle Berry, Magic Berry, Miraculous Berry or Flavour Berry, was first documented by explorer Chevalier des Marchais who searched for many different fruits during a 1725 excursion to its native West Africa."

I haven't tried either yet, but I'll be keeping on the look out!

Isn't the purpose of Good Berry to create a hearty meal from very little? Rather than changing taste?

There was a CSI: New York episode about this stuff by the way. The miracle fruit. They used it to make someone unable to taste the difference between normal food and some insane base from a cleaning product that's also used for whitening paper or something, mixed the stuff into a cocktail, and poisoned someone with it. Nasty!

      Yes. It's a joke.

I had one of those miracle fruit things. Try eating a strawberry after eating one, it will blow your mind.
