  • Mouse problem

    Hi there
Maybe one of you can help me with a problem that Iīve got with my new Logitec mouse.
Itīs a LS1 Laser USB Mouse and the problem is at first the thing worked just perfectly and then itīs surface recognition started to slowly deteriorate and now the mouse courser doesnīt even move at all.
I put a white sheet of paper as surface on under the mouse, didnīt work. New SetPoint version, no use.

    So, any ideas ?

Is it a cable-bound mouse or a wireless? If wireless, could it be the battery? Also, perhaps something is blocking the laser.

I wouldn't mess around trying to fix it, if you've verified the batteries are good and it's clean. If you just got it, take it back and exchange it.

I have a wireless Logitech mouse, and I've had other laser mice before. When this problem has occured with me, I've found that 1) as you said, the laser housing is obstructed -- I have dogs so dog hair gets in there sometimes but it is easily blown out OR 2) the surface I'm using, although it might look clean, is not as clean as it looks and needs to be wiped off -- I gave up on mouse pads and went to paper so I could see when the prolblems started.
