  • Mmofps?

A long time ago, I played Planetside. I had a blast with that game--a massive-multiplayer online first person shooter.

Has anyone seen any similar games come out since? Any in the works?

I beta tested Planetside and still occasionally go back when they have free trials. Every time I play it it gets better but with my attention span I can't justify spending a monthly fee on any game.

How long has it been since you've tried it? maybe you should look into a free trial.

www.massivefps.com has all sorts of info on mmofps's if you're looking for something else though.

I played Planetside until my 30 days ran out, never renewed it after that. It was a great game, but I'm in the same boat as Llew. I can only justify buying MMOs that don't have a monthly subscription. Looking at http://www.massivefps.com/, Savage 2 and Hellgate London look good, and neither has a monthly subscription.

Thanks ladies and germs. I signed up for the alpha Saulus suggested and will look into Savage 2 maybe.

Has anyone here played Savage 2? What's the verdict?

There's a 5 hour trial. I haven't got around to playing it though.

The original Savage was very fun. Savage II looked promising when I took a gander at it, but I never actually played it.
