  • Fallout 3?

If your an old fart, late twenty something like myself, you may care to know Fallout 3 is due to be released at the end of the month by the people at Obsidian. (Information is inaccurate, please see post #4 -- Saulus)

I myself have been waiting for this game for dang near 10 years....can't wait for it much longer.

Look up the other games if your interested; their considered rpg classics...least by me.

I enjoyed them as much as I did BG, Planscape Torrment, etc.

I've been waiting for the new Fallout since I heard they started making it earlier this year and I'm really psyched. Of course, seeing how some of the other most-anticipated games this year have fallen way short I'm prepared to be let down yet again.

I've never played the originals but this one looks like it has a KOTOR feel to it and I loved those games.

I'm not an old fart but I do know that Obsidian has nothing to do with Fallout or Fallout 3 (thank god).

You're thinking of Bethesda Softworks, creators of The Elder Scrolls Series (Oblivion). And actually, Fallout 3 comes out next month near the end of October.

Lets hope its not marred by world leveling, irrelevent questing and a complete lack of atmosphere like Oblivion was eh?

Its made on the same engine I believe..

Once I found out I could put 25% chameleon on each piece of my cloth armour and get 100% unbreakable concealment.. oblivion got pretty old :9

Still looking forward to Fallout 3 though, I hope for all our sakes its a jolly good game

Picking my copy up today, was looking at the collectors and managed to find a place that had it, but then I asked myself if the extra 20 dollars was really worth the metal lunchbox and the bobble head? Nah.

Well played through a good first chunk of the game. I have to say, there's a lot to do, and the story is very engaging so far.

It's also the first game ever that really makes me feel guilty for being evil. I even got the Dream Killer Perk for literally ruining Moiria's dream of writing a survival guide (after mutating her into a ghoul from blowing up Megaton).
