Does anyone here run Linux or Windows/Linux dual boot?

I'm doing a little research and I'm trying to find the best distro for gaming. Supposedly there's a program called Wine that will run the Windows version of NWN2 on any Linux distro, has anyone tried this?

    Any input would be appreciated.

I think there was a thread similar to this already. However I will reiterate... if you're a gamer don't use Linux. There's a small compatibility list for games that work on Wine but it's just that -- small.

And even if the game does run, it's not going to get any real big magic performance boost or anything.

I'm not really looking for a performance gain I'm just trying to get the Windows Monkey off my Back.

Which version(s) of Linux have you tried?

I'm running a dual boot (choose at startup) XP Pro and Ubuntu linux box. I'm pretty much just learning linux though so it stays logged into Windows more often than not.

I've heard good things about Ubuntu, have you tried playing any games with it? Or using Wine or Crossover?
