Can't load Sundren :(

For some reason I can't load Sundren at all now, I've had some horrible lag that I don't understand, but I'm confident that will be fixed, but why does it freeze everytime I try to join the server?

I have been but it seems nine times out of ten I try to log on I crash, and it never used to happen... *sighs* Is there anything I can do?

I really don't believe its the server, you all. Why? as Lollercide can attest, I don't crash out, I don't have problems logging in, and I don't have lag. At all. I was tormenting him in game cause he would crash and I wouldn't going thru the same transitions.

I live in the States and the server is in Canada. I have 15 hops to the server.

I wonder if you all share a hop thats acting flaky that I'm not funneling thru?

That was a bit of what I was thinking too, there are some major hubs that run through Denver, Ontario, and Kansas City. If any of them went screwy it would explain alot

This has been happening to me too, but only since I downloaded the latest update. I'm a new player, and the first day I played, the server was perfect, zero lag, zero load times. The second day I downloaded something with the updater and now I can hardly load the module, and when I do get in there's massive lag spikes and crashes.

Could be coincidental that the patch and this happened to me at the same time, just thought I'd put it out there! (edit: and I'm in Canada, if that makes any difference for the "hubs" that you guys are talking about!)

Exact same thing with me, Zero lag, zero loadtimes prior to the update, all the same symptoms now though . I play on 2 different connections and computers, both have been stricken with the same lag/loading errors since the last update. As he said, it could be coincidental, but it is for the vast part loading errors and crashes.. the spikes in lag are awful and can last until it crashes, but In my 2 months+ on sundren It has never happened until immediately after this update..

Just tried loading my thief and he never left the first loading zone.. just froze up for 5+ mins until I alt+f4'd the game..

Same, I was seriously munching the lag-burger last night.

Once I managed to get on and not crash I did notice that if I navigated using the mouse clicks and shift key I barely had any problems, the occasional minor spike. However, if I moved about using the WASD keys then I'd get a fearful smite from the lag-hammer, resulting in wierd flipping around the map and wandering in random directions. If I tried to use the mouse to nav during the lag attacks then I'd move my taking a single step, pause, single step, pause etc..

The worst of it seemed to be in direct proportion to the amount I'd naved about with WASD. Once it had cleared I could mouse nav without issue, or key and suffer.

Mind you, could all have been coninsidence or something..

Wow did someone just admit to using WASD? You know there's a server message that pops right up when you join saying "DO NOT USE WASD KEYS TO MOVE AS IT LAGS THE SERVER".

Heh. Hahaha! I can't believe that just happened.

But when I logged in, I experienced this same lag everyone was talking about. And I have never experienced anything like it prior to this update. If the update isn't what causes it, then this is a serious coincidence in the way of timing.

This is not typical NWN2 stuff, and my internet works fine in all other uses. It's just Sundren that's getting lagged on, and it's just since the update. And it's happening to most of us.

If it is a Hop thing, as Sean said, what do we do? I don't know what that even means, but I assume it's out of our hands until someone else fixes it?

I seriously doubt it to be a hub issue, but it is peculiar that some get it and some dont.. Are the devs the only ones not experiencing it? Perhaps if they logged in with a non dev acct and played for an hr or 2 zoning frequently maybe they wuld catch one of these spikes, and crashes.. Just now I crashed on nwn2, went to reload up my char and the load screen said "module loaded sucessfully" with about this much Progress on the bar (__________________) and it stays there frozen, I tried logging onto anothr char and the same thing.. when loading up the char it freezes.. been happening in addition to the lag/crashes.

Seeing as how cherry sundren played before It does seem a supicius coinicdence that this is all coinsiding with the update. Maybe the Dev accts have something that doesnt need to load like ours? something to do with the new zone situation, etc? Just throwing something out there..

Ok, we've got it narrowed down and are testing, we know the problem exists. We don't need anymore posts saying it exist. (100 posts was enough, we believe you allready)
