Hey guys, I'm heading out Wednesday morning (July 2) to take my youth group to a conference. We won't be back until Saturday, late. Also, my wife and I are adopting my little 2 1/2 yr old niece. If all goes well with the mom and dad and they get the paperwork signed, we'll be bringing her into our home Sunday. So, I'll probably spend a few days just hanging out with her while I'm not at work to help her reaclimate to living with us (she stayed with us a couple of months back December-January). So, I don't know that I'll be back on until early-mid next week.

But, never fear. I will most assuredly work out a master plan to take over Sundren that will most assuredly backfire when I get back

btw, Uktar will be out too (I'm sure he'll post about it). So, we'll cook something up over the weekend. He's not going with me, but the punk manages to take all his vacations when I'm out of town so he never dogsits for me anymore.

Well... ok I will reschedule my vac so I can dog sit for ya...

Oh wait I cant reschedule my 1000 mile drive because my work sux...

As Larando said, I too will be on vac I'm heading to the sunny flordia beaches at 7 am CST tomorrow and wont be back till late sunday night. This is the last chance I will get to take vac this year due to my job needing me to train somone for a new position which will prolly take the rest of the year to get them up to speed enough to run the place while im gone. I might be able to get away for a few weekend trips but no week long ones like this one.

*to larando* Stay safe on your trip bro and I hope everything goes well while your out. Cant wait to see the muchikin when you bring her home.

I am so flattered Larando that I made it into your signature, and I'd also like to express my unabashed appreciation for you as a person, it sounds as if you are trying for a sainthood, and perhaps deserve it.

        Good luck with everything

Oh, you're funny. Very funny. Sunny Florida...ha! Good one!

We're actually back to our proper summer/fall weather, thank you. After about 4p, expect sudden thunderstorms that last until dark. Just because the sky is black with clouds doesn't mean it'll rain, of course.

And just because the sky is clear, doesn't mean it won't...Had hail last Thursday. While it was almost 90F.

eh...2000 screaming teenagers is more controlled chaos than coordination of anything. But, it'll be a fun trip, and good for the kids

Ah, well, if you hit the giant tourist trap in the middle of the state, I'll have to swing by and do something horrible.

As someone who was born in northwest Georgia ( Appalachia for those who confuse Georgia as one big hillbilly love fest ), I have a special kind of hatred for florida.. partially it's the 6 million people who drive through Georgia on already overcrowded interstates to get there, partially it's all the people from New York who read the brochure, decided to move there, then realized it's really freakin hot and decided to move to Georgia instead ( we call the half-backs, because they didn't move all the way back to NYC, just halfway back ) or possibly that most of the cities in Florida ( with the notable exception of St. Augustine ) are simply tourist traps sourrounded by open sewers.... Anyway... Florida.. ugh... I'm glad I moved out west into the mountains.

And Gabryal, no need to be so harsh! The Everglades are actually kinda nice, if you can find them (shrinkage). And the manatees are neat. Ever been to Weeki Wachi? Just, uh, watch for the mosquitos. And the lovebugs. Ruin your paint job, they will.

Central Florida tourist trap aversion tips:
--If you really have to go to Kissimmee, do it in the middle of the week, in the middle of the winter. Yeah, you'll have to wear a sweater (it does hit 40 and below here), but there's no lines. And Kraken is so much better with a cold bite in the wind.
--Go off road. Gatorland's been around for ages, but it's surprising how few people know about it. And take an airboat ride. It's worth it.
--It's not the heat, it's the humidity. You will lose weight via sweat just by stepping outside.

And finally, if they have an umbrella when its not sheeting rain, merely borderline pouring, they're not Floridians.

caveman's going to florida (I think orlando)...not me! I'm going to San Antonio

But, he's coming from Arkansas, so he won't be in the NY traffic ;P

But, he's already through Georgia. I talked to him on the phone earlier.

I forgot to mention I-10, from 1-75 ( or is it I-85 there ) towards Jacksonville.. the world most boring stretch of highway.
