  • Drinks.

Well, I'm at work now which means I'm incredibly bored and somewhat lonely and to me that seems to be the best time to start an off-topic thread.

So, for those of us who are old enough to drink (And those lucky enough to live in a country where the only requirement is the ability to see over the bar): What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?

Since I can't force Gabryal to start this thread like I did with my advice thread I guess I'll have to do it myself.

Beer: Hook and Ladder - Backdraft Brown.
    Liquor: Wild Turkey (Bourbon).
    Mixed: White Russian.

Beer: Belgian stuff make by Trapist monks!
Vino: A nice Shiraz or Cab Sav
Liquor: A good Islay single malt
    Mixed: Gin and tonic ftw!
    I got one leg missin'
    How do I get around?

Killians was my favorite until I discovered Hook and Ladder one night at Chili's. Sam Adams also has a pretty good Red.

My friends tend to buy the cheapest piss-water they can get (Think; Coors, Natural Ice, Busch) but I need at least an amber to actually enjoy it.

Gotta love the Chimay! There's a few different Trappist breweries, though Chimay seems to be the only one that gets exported in any sort of quantity.

Beer: Guinness (I like my beer dark as the night and twice as bitter)
Liquor: Jack Daniels (Whiskey is my water)
Mixed: A nice and easy rum and coke

I'm a southern girl ( who lives in the SW I know ) so a Jack and Coke or a Corona Light if it's just beer.

I very, very rarely drink aloholic bevereages, but when I do:

Beer: Not my favorite, but the light Bavaraian "Mass" will do when I'm thirsty. Since I don't live in Bavaria, I drink very little beer, except see below.
Liquor: nothing particular, but smooth Irish whiskey is good for cold evenings in company
Wine: Dornfelder or Schwarzriesling (both reds)
Mixed: Amaretto with Cherry juice and Whipped cream. Or Pina Colada. Beer and Coke, otherwise known as Cola-Beer.
Annaleen Wiltenholm-There's always something to smile about.
Chani Kalera- Intimidation is the new diplomacy. *looms*
Eleanor "Bloody Elle" Lark - Why is the rum always gone?
Yolanda Brown - If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But unless life also gives you water and sugar, your lemonade is going to suck.
                    Astrid Hammerhand - Och!

                        Too many to name

Beer: Becks (favourite), Windhoek Lager or whatever imported/Micro bewerery stuff I haven't tried before. (And then our SABMiller is the largest beer company in the world which gives us even more choice).
Wine: Any red, GrootEiland, Stellenbosh Hills etc. etc. - we've got literally thousands to choose from.
Liquor: Famous Grouse single malt Whiskey.

Dang, now I sound like an alcoholic...

Beer: Hmm it's hard to even name all the good beers I've drunk, at the time when I still had some money to spend on alcohol I used to buy a set of different beers when going out. I guess I'd call the dark stouts or ales my favourite, so something between dark brown and black, Guiness for example.
Wine: I must say I'm horribly green with the wine-area, I hardly have tasted any good wines, but I'm a fan of full-flavoured red wines, such as Black Tower. Usually I'll just buy a bottle of Hannibal though, since it's cheap and suitable to be drunk without food.
Liquor: Absinth, Jaegermeister, whiskey, the two latter mixed with something
Liqueur: Had to say that the Italian lemon liqueurs are just plain awesome, I love them and can recommend them to everyone who likes some strong alcohol hidden with soft and sweet lemon taste.
                            Mixed: Tequila Sunrise

And despite my long ramblings about the subject, I must say that I drink pretty rarely, but I can certainly appreciate some good quality stuff every now and then.
