  • Father's Day.

If I may be sappy for a minute.

Tomorrow, Sunday June 15 is Father's Day here in the United States. Some of you know that I am a father of two, a 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. The two greatest days of my life were when these two were born. It hasn't been easy to say the least. It takes great patience and selflessness to be a parent, but it is all be worth it when my little girl kisses me on the cheek and says "Daddy, I love you."

Please, call you father tomorrow, make his day.

Also, no negative replies about how awful your father was. The only thing my father taught me about parenting was how not to do it, and yes I am calling him anyway.

    Lets keep this one positive.

I have two boys, a five year old, and a three year old, so I know all about the struggles involved with raising children, but I also know the joys.

I walked around most of the day thinking today was father's day, not fully realizing why neither my wife, nor my sons had show even the slightest bit of gratitude......my wife thought it was funny at least

So, I agree. Call you dad and say hello, it will make his day.

My Dad rules! I wish I could be as cool as him. I got 3 kids myself; 2, 9, and 11. They will bow down before their father and give praises OR ELSE! Actually, I'll just be happy to get a little free time to plan on Sundren.

Yeah, dads are pretty important. Mine died 5 years ago next month. You don't get that time back. I'm, fortunate to have had a very good relationship with my father all the way into my mid 20's. It's helped a lot with closure in his death. But, neither of my sisters had that relationship. And they're still (5 years later) doing a good job of ruining their lives over his death. Hopefully someday they'll get their heads straight. But I also hope other people see how powerful relationships with fathers can be, regardless of what kind of a person they are.

And happy father's day to you dads out there
