Some of us (probably only me) are running on windows 2000. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not seem to approve of 2000 any more, so I'm left without the .NET Framework needed to use the new updater. That said, is anyone here so kind as to upload the new weapon hak, or send it to me in an email?

that'd be a mightydraco throw in that a with a circle thing and then gmail.com (durn spam bots D:<)

Make sure you have uninstalled the old updater before trying to install .NET and the new one.

This should work if you have service pack 4 for Windows 2000. But ideally you really should be running XP (2000 is about 8 years now).

I couldn't find any file like that when I looked

The Sundren updater installer doesn't seem to want to install anything now.

It says "Unable to satisfy all of the prerequisites for Sundren Updater. Setup cannot continue until all components have been successfully installed."

And under details it gives me
"Prerequisite check for system component .NET Framework 3.5 failed with the following error message:
"Installation of the .NET Framework 3.5 requires Windows XP SP2, Windows 2003 SP1, Windows Vista, or later. Contact your application vendor.""

Yeah, if by windows 2000 you mean Windows ME *shudders*. I remember when my cousin had that. I think Saulus is right though, look around the microsoft website if you can't get the framework with SP4. Good luck draco. If you can't get it soon, I might be able to try to host it for you shortly. Probably not today though.

The updater has been running for over 30 minutes now without any results...

It did work when I installed a week ago but nothing now.

So I'd be interested in getting that file too.

2000 and ME are two different things, 2000 is NT based (better) while ME is 9x based, and horribly insecure and useless.

I unistalled the updater and installed it again and that worked.

I guess it wasn't self-updating although when I downloaded it previously it was said it should.

Now the updater has a title bar, it didn't previously.

I'd like there to be more feedback on the screen though, now there's just the bar but it would be nice to see a download speed or a text telling us what it's doing. Right now it's hard to say what's happening and if it's working.

And btw, Windows ME is the worst operating system Microsoft ever published and it's the only one I've never installed on my own systems (well, I never installed DOS 1 or 2 either).

I used to use DOS, a long time ago when I was like five years old, until I was about seven or eight.

That's why I wondered if it was ME because ME was horrible, I don't even want to think about how horrible ME was. Personally I've only used ME once or twice at my cousins house, and I've never used 2000. I went from 98 to XP.

That's probably for the best.. Especially if you were lucky like me and moved to XP from 98 far after the big XP attack.

Yeah, I think I waited a year/ year and a half, maybe more, after XP came out to get it. Just like how I won't be getting Vista any time soon. Though this is off topic, so I shall digress now.
