Tell you what, if they ever come out with the turn based, customizable by codex 40k, you guys have lost me here. Can you imagine playing the real 40k over the internet? How cool would that be? How many hours of your life would be saved? COurse you couldn't paint the models, but once you have kids like me, you have to throw out your paints for safety reasons anyways.

/agree Sharington. I don't understand what the point of playing '40k' is when it's just command and conquer with different sprites . I tried to play DoW, but it just didn't seem to have any relationship to 40k (which I used to play alot, and greatly enjoy). An adaptation of the actual game with turn based goodness would be truly awesome (though to be honest, I'd probably prefer 'Space-Marine' or 'Epic', or whatever it's called if it still exists).

And don't say this makes me a heretic Gairun... It is all of you who are heretics for endorsing this corruption of warhammer into an RTS!

To be honest, I'd rather it be 40k second edition, back when you could make uber commanders and all sorts of gnarly adaptaions. Each member of the squad was an individual. Now.. the squad is just that, a squad. I used to name my Nids in 2nd edition individually, but when 3rd edition came out.. they were all identical and it lost its flavor.

Don't get me wrong, 3rd edition is still fun, I just miss a few aspects of 2nd.

Basicly take Chaos Gate and make it multiplayer and give it more options then just loyalist and chaos. I really enjoyed Chaos Gate.

I have to admit that I continued using the Rogue Trader (original) rules for most of the time I played (with friends anyways), and only dipped into the later ones for playing at conventions and stuff.

i was introduced in 2nd so never got to use rogue, though i do own the manual. I was always interested in fielding a squat army in exo armor on plasma cannon laden trikes who make the enemies deploment zone look like a nuclear holcaust in the first round.

Multi Melta? I've seen a Warhound go overload in a game of 40 and blow for a 32" blast at str 10 AP 1 and does d6 wounds. The game was over for both sides. Stupid titan. Thats what happens when someone with 4 attacks with a powerfist hits it though.
