That would depend on the video card installed, but otherwise yes.

I was assured that the video card can play NWN2, WoW, and pleasure my girlfriend at the same time.

And I don't even play WoW, so all the better.

I wish I remembered what video card it was though... I think it was an NVidia, but I can't recall the model.

Looks like it overkills on RAM, unless you're running a lot of programs, you probably won't be using more then 1.5 gigs. What kind of videocard it has is the most important though.

Also, 500GBs is a lot more space then I use, or need. Might be overkill unless you plan on downloading a lot of *ahem* adult content files

Well i would not say that 3 gig RAM is overkill, RAM is cheep so the more the better. The only thing is that a 32 bits OS can only handle about 3 Gig of memory if i remember correctly and that includes the videocard memory and even the SWAP I think.

Yeah, that is waaaay overkill. And big drives have longer seek times, so they slow performance, not worth it. 120Gig drive is plenty. You can always get an extra drive later for storage.

It just looks like overkill for NWN. You really only need like a 3Gig processor and a gig of RAM even. The vidcard is the key.

I have an nvidia geforce 6600, which you can get on the cheap. ANy 256 MB card should cover you.

Get 4GB. Personally I have a Quad Core q6600 @ 3.0GHZ with 4GB of DDR2 800 corsair memory and a 8800GT 512mb. If you're building a system like that i'd recommend Vista Ultimate x64. A lot of the games I run at the highest settings will use almost all 4GB of memory, especially Crysis on x64.

Again it depends on what you do.

I run with 2 gigs of RAM of the same kind and rarely use half of it. I think it depends on the OS a lot (running 2000 here)

Thats not really true. The larger the disk the higher the density of the stored information is, which means that a bigger disk is actually faster then a smaller one.

Yeah whoever told you a disk that's bigger is slower is living in the stone age and should retake their A+ class.

Also, you do need 4GB of memory if you're at the pinnacle of gaming. I run Crysis and Company of Heroes on the limits, and I can see my memory spiking at 78% total. That's over 3GB (75%). Keep in mind I run almost no background applications so the large majority of that is just the OS and the game.

I don't play many games on my PC other then NWN2, which is probably why I don't use too much memory. I haven't been able to figure out the advantages to Vista, because all I've heard about it is that it takes up a lot more memory then XP and 2000.

It runs DX10. And, uh...anyone else?

Yeah, personally I'm waiting out vista until it's good and solid, bug free, and has a game that is vista only that I can't live without, until then I'm XP.

Kangleton, that PC looks like more than you actually need for NWN 2, and it would be a bit difficult for me to make a 100% call without seeing the motherboard specs. Other then that though, going just by the numbers you've given, and the confirmation that it has a video card capable of running NWN2, it's probably not a bad idea. I don't know how much it's going to cost you, and you could probably go with a little lower end gear for saving some money (I know you're on a budget), but those are the only things I can think of.

On a side note, I would settle for having a girlfriend to pleasure, let alone a video card that could do it for me.
