Something S-dizzle has been watching

Here's something I've been watching with great interest. The modeler claims to be near release on this appearance. If it hits the floor and is quality work (and it really already looks like it), you can trust that I will be pestering Saulus to let me put it in ASAP.

I've gotta say, I've never understood how the beholder became such a staple creature in DnD. It's really kinda silly! But that model looks great.

Across the land a rumbling is felt as a tremor passes from its origin deep in the Cold Climb and carrying thru out to the sea.

In a dark vale, of a nearly unclimbable series of mountains, a crevice appears on the rock face. Slowly as the tremor continues, so grows the gap in the rock.

The shaking finally quiets, and a shape drifts out the now cave sized opening, blinking its eyes in the bright daylight, for the very first time in its long life. A small bird flits by, and the beast senses the flight of the doomed creature and brings it down with a flash of green, leaving nothing so much as a pile of dust floating in the air where once was bone, sinew, and feathers.

The beholders have arrived!
