I gotta say, this movie could have been an absolute master piece if a director with any talent whatsoever was givin the project. Was on the edge of my seat for the first half the mood was set so well, I wanted to know more about what happened, Will Smith was doing a good job, and then you see the dark seekers. Wow, how absolutely terrible were they? I can remeber better cgi in movies made ten years ago. The whole second half of the movie seemed rushed and was SO full of holes that me and the people who saw it spent the next few hours of drinking trying to figure everything out. But I mean comeone the dog scen? yeah sad, although quite obviously there to get some sort of emotional response from a film that was not inspiring much of one in any way and just to prove how blatant emotion grabbing that scene was supposed to be, all of a sudden ten minutes later there is another survivor? Come on, and god sent her? and with no back story or explanantion?

Sorry about the rant, but I take my zombie movies seriously, and I guess this one quite obviously was'nt a zombie movie, it was garbage after the 45 minute mark.

I strongnly recomend that anyone who has'nt seen it, does'nt. Go rent dawn of the dead or hell if you like the whole zombie army with the general zombieleader, go rent land of the dead and actually enjoy the movie.

I was fine with how the Dark Seekers looked, I really went to the movie for the story, i thought it sounded cool, not the horror. I'm not a fan of horror, and I really have better stuff to do then get scared >>.

Hi guys, I haven't read the book yet, but I have now seen both these movies you mentioned here ('The Man From Earth' and this 'I am Legend'), and liked both of them. This doesn't mean you should or will like too, but I definetly recommed to check these movies out.

While the first one I mentioned left this feeling, a hunger for more, the second one was not so good at end, and all I thought about it was something like: "Okay, that is it, a nice movie could been better, but I don't mind." About the dog screen.. Heh, I guessed quite soon after the movie started, that this dog is going to die and by killing it himself would be both sad as a scene, but also a ticket for this main character to break mentally. After that it was anger, revenge, a human reaction, but something was missing.. a woman. Well You know the rest, so no reason for me to repeat it all. But typical one american saves the world thing.. Nothing wrong with that, but it happens a way too often in the movies.

So my conclusion goes like: some typical cliches + interesting things you don't see that often in nowadays movies, worked well enough for me to enjoy this movie, but I wont fall into same tricks too many times.
