    Does anyone still play this?
I kind of miss it, it plays very well and the mechanics are great IMO, the quests and instances can be fiendishly tricky, just a shame theres bugger all RP. Also N.Americans cant play euro servers and vica-versa which is a shame.
Tried LotRO for a bit, got some lovely features and is damned pretty, but combat is a bit rubbish, and the quests get far too samey after awhile- plus rubbish RP, if any.

Not now, the end game just got to be the same few quests with peole grinding for loot again and again.

Had a blast on it when it first came out, met some shadey characters (waves to Aux ). It was great fun finding your first +1 sword and thinking you were well armed!

I got lucky meeting a great bunch over the first week or so I was on and sticking with them for around for over a year, sure we were rubbish at the quests but we had a great time doing them anyway.

Great memories of the game with some great people.

Heard it was crap and I didn't like the idea of playing MMO D&D of this nature. I like the dynamics of a small server for story and plots.

I heard this too before i got it, but actually its a very good game, if you could have private servers with your own DMs it would fantastic. As Vekin said, we rolled with our own guild (who were mostly nwn1 guildies and picked up some strays) and had a great time. But at the end of the day, I like the personal touches too, the RP, DM's, etc etc...

yeah played it for about 2 weeks while waiting for nwn2. it was garbage as far as I'm concerned. Though the ease of finding parties was nice at times.

I played it in beta for a bits. It would have been a lot better they understood just because its called Dungeons & Dragons, doesnt mean you always have to be in a dungeon. I dont know...just felt trapped by not being able to go outside and everything taking place in one city.

Yeah, theyve changed all that though, plenty of open-air quests and exploration areas. But it still hasnt got the huge free-roaming land like WoW or LotRO.
