Well, most 'Hip Hop' is trash and is slowly declining.
Punk.... well.... Punk was sold out. Sure there are a few straggler bands, but sadly the Golden Days of Punk is over
Rock n' Roll will eventually die as well as the mainstream trash takes over.

I'm... not too sure which way this thread is going. But since argumentation on music is one of the most pointless things in the world (just after arguing on which woman is prettiest), I'll feed the "what is punishable emo" debate.

My guess on what GBX meant is that he is getting tired of ever-brooding, sulking heroes who make dramatic scenes at the slightest opportunity. I think overdoing it is the keyword here. But then it's indeed very subjective. -shrugs-

Rock'n Roll will never die, because it encompasses punk rock, some hip hop (older unfortunately, but seriously, run DMC is rock'n roll as far as I'm concerned)Rockabilly, surf rock, Hell Johnny Cash was the most rock'n roll man ever, and he may be dead but he will never die.

There will always be bands that keep it real, and kick ass, unfortunately you will never hear about them, unless you go to the local bar for shows.

But please I beg you, never say its dying, that only perpetuates the myth.
