  • Kernel Memory

Can anyone tell me how I might be able increase my kernel memory?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am not very knowledge about computers in general.

Explain what you're trying to do. I don't think Kernel Memory is actually what you wanted to do. Kernel memory can only be accessed by Kernel processes, like drivers and such.

I seem to having the problem of running out of kernel memory while playing NWN2. I think its the reason I've been crashing a lot.

Or should I decrease the amount of programs using the kernel memory?

hehe ok kernell is not what you need to increase if i am not mistaken the error is to the effect of kernel.ddl has incounterd an error and needs to close at memory adress bla bla blah...

this can be caused by several factors ie bad disc in hard drive bad memory or random memory dumping or even vertual memory build up.... to help with this go to my computer icon right click go to advanced and selcect the settings button for performence...

next you will see tabs at the top select advanced

and then select change button under the cache box. you will now see a selection of drive use your c drive and selct custom size button and type in up to 4 gigs if you have enough room to spare... the number to enter would be like this 4000 ... that is 4 gigs. this will help on load times and game performence a little aswell.

if you are getting the windows is low on vertual memory than this will fix that aswell...

-let me know if this helps
