RIP Harold Ramis

That's right. A great man of the movies, Harold Ramis has passed away. I grew up watching his movies and he will be missed.

Hearing this on the way home ruined my week. Ghostbusters was the movie of my childhood, and Egon was my 2nd favorite. These celebrity deaths always put me in a weird spot, because it's hard to mourn someone you never met, but at the same time their work was very meaningful to you and you have a gut feeling they were a pretty awesome person. I think I will be buying Ghostbusters I and II and Stripes this weekend and getting my drink on for my homie.

He directed a bunch of movies. Groundhog Day and Caddy Shack are two great ones that come to mind. As you said, I didn't know the man, I also know a lot of important people may of passed as well. For some reason, when somebody makes you laugh, they stick with you. I don't consider this a bad thing.

Egon Spengler was my, like many girls my age, very first nerd crush. He will be missed.

I think my first nerd crush was Shaggy from Scooby doo. Don't ask me why. I mean... I always though he was cool cause he had his own van, and a talking dog.
