  • My Avatar

So, some people have asked me where my avatar came from. I actually drew it awhile ago. I do a bit of artwork at times when I'm really bored.

For the curious, here's some of my crap:

http://www.fortressdesigns.com/buppi/scenery.jpg <-- 2 Hours of scribbling in photoshop
    http://www.fortressdesigns.com/buppi/revenant.jpg <-- avatar not shrunk
    http://www.fortressdesigns.com/buppi/elf.jpg <-- Elf I drew (Not colored)
http://www.fortressdesigns.com/buppi/ellyllon.jpg <-- Stupid Ellyllon fairy thing

    Enjoy!

    Ooh...

The first one ("scenery") is really nice looking. We going to see that locale in Sundren?

Nah... that was me bored at work. None of that has anything to do with Sundren.

Not going to win any awards , but its about a googolplex times better than anything I can do. That scenery image reminds me of my grandmothers style of painting.
The problem with the future is that it keeps turning into the present.

Well at least be glad you can draw.
Speaking of avatars pics, there's another hak you can add to this place, if possible? ^_^

The landscape is very interesting. You should do more like this... then get them printed on canvas or figure out a way to drop-string the same type of texture onto a canvas medium... You could sell a great deal to interior designers looking for nature with a flair of techno modern... very nice. I paint on canvas with acrylic myself so it's nice to see something digital that could translate into raw medium instead of vice versa...

                Maleficus "Ravenor" Carnificis
"Dreams... such fertile ground for the seeds of torment. I can sense your ripeness and, oddly enough, it is time for the harvest. Please, save your tears... I intend to reap your sorrow slowly and have ages to discover the things that make you suffer... I am eager to revel in the sweet melody of your screams and the melancholy of your despair..."

Mystic Theurge (and Harper) of Deneir wandering the Sundered Valley in search of (and with the intention of mapping out) places of power, ley-line intersections, and other locations where the divine and arcane intersect...

I was going to get a tablet, but they had no more in stock that I wanted. Darn people who want to do art.

wolf just a crit, you paints look extremely flat. There is no defining sections of the paint. maybe try base coating the figure sepia or a cool grey [[ one war other cool each has different effects]] thinly coat the colors you want on top with a brush. you also want to mix hues and tones when painting and desgin work.

                        I recommend you check out

both have sections on painting. the theories for digital and analog painting are the same. so dont worry about it.

I hope this helps a bit

I find it funny when people are Encredibly modest about the art they make.

I am not sure about the personae, but the scenery I actually really like. Scribbled scenery like that fills a special niche my art-heart.

"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
