I dunno, fancy looks aren't everything, in all honesty I'm tired of the constant feeling that games seem to be sacrificing so many other elements in the persuit of ever fancier graphics, or the same old shit in an ever more glitzy box.

But maybe I'm just getting old and selectively nostalgic.

I am TOTALLY for a level 8-10 cap. More dungeons for everyone. Less time spent grinding to be relivant. No more PCs who can fight x1000 town guards at once and win. Lowbies can gang up on high levels and actually make a dent. More down-to-earth feel. Better party dynamics because of less levels to master everything. Sign me up!

Ball-breaking aside, I have a lot of fun on Sundren. I put almost as much time into it as I do my real job lately (seriously last night I had to meet like 14 characters in the Enclave back to back, felt like a freakin' king hearing petitioners) but only because I am really enthused about what I am doing. As someone who was very anti-RP (neeeeeeerds), to become so engrossed in the world is testament to the job you guys do. /manhugs

My biggest lull in sundren interest was during the level cap days where you had to "grind time" sitting about doing nothing. (some will argue you could be talking at a campfire or making out with lesbian vampires played by dudes.) WORST era in sundren's history. Some of us are very casual gamers but still want to have fun, build powerful characters and see them develop new abilities over time - not spend 3 months real time in a fake world.

You said a game should not be a job. More time spent/wasted is a terrible metric.

I can care less if a new guy logs on and surpasses my character in a weekend grind binge. If that is what he enjoys so be it. It doesn't change how I play. And with the rep system I feel like 20th level... who cares you still need to do stuff for your faction. and PLAY the game.

Server wipe would be great if you want to loose already not so stellar numbers.
