  • Days of Future past.

I wanted to start a discussion about the X-Men movies. Just movies, because the trailer for the new film has just arrived, and I must say that I ma excited. They are pulling from one of my favorite story arch's for the next film, in fact it is what got me hooked on the comic as a young fellow. If anyone is like me, they have been disappointed in the last few installments of the franchise, my exception was the latest Wolverine movie, did very well with staying true to the source material. X-Men first class was an enjoyable movie, well written, and acted; but was way off what the original X-Men were. Hell my children and wife enjoyed the film, but they never read any of the comics.

I am curious what everyone is thinking and if you have not seen the trailer, have a look.

I just hope I am not disappointed.

Saw the new trailer yesterday, looks good. I've seen all the x-men movies, never been a fan of the comics. The last X-men movie (First class) with Fassbender as Magneto was superb, and I have high expectations for "Days of Future Past" because I heard that the same guy who wrote the book for the other movie is doing this one.

Plus Sir Iain and Patrick Stewart along with the young cast? Fuck yes!
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Agree with Saulus on everything. The only minor complaint I have being that Hugh Jackman's wolverine is kind of wearing thin, and seems to be the star of the show again.

Magneto is by far my favorite, and I love Michael Fassbender in that roll. I am stoked, maybe it would open up an Age of Apocalypse movie.
