Dances with Goats

So, yeah, Autumn is my favorite time of the year, which means that Foo is usually outside enjoying the one season where the South isn't stupidly hot! This weekend was no exception; Auburn University had its annual Agricultural Heritage event (along with Homecoming!) so HM and I got to do things like sample locally raised catfish, meats, and other nifty things that the biosystems engineers (a fancy term for farmers, really) do.

And I got to pet Loretta, one of the adorable teacher goats!



HolyMan dubbed this ten-month old bottle-fed baby "Beef Wellington" since we didn't ask his name. He was adorable. And, as HM said out of earshot, he looked tasty.



This is what I do when I'm not playing the Iron Fist. Funtimes!

Cute pictures, and I totally understand the sentiment behind them. My home is surrounded by huge ranches. Went to tractor pulls yesterday. Go country folk!

On a serious note, looks like fun. I miss the leaves changing back home. Here it's just brown and green. Also, reminds me of my the times I had on my Grandma's farm as kid. I know you guys are having fun. Enjoy. :-)

I will enjoy my tasty foot sandwich now. I'm not one to curse at home, however, when my wife heard me say "Why the hell is he kicking it?" she quickly ushered the children out of room for the litany of swear words that was going to follow.
