  • Legionnaire Scout: Help!

Hello everyone, I am not far from level 20 on Drake - and though I enjoy him - I want to continue activity on others players. I have one already made that I plan on playing, but I would like to make a Legionnaire scout: Bowman!

    Stealthy/Damage!

If anyone is a veteran of making builds and would like to show me a creative build I could try out - or give me an idea of where I should start. PM Me please ^^

Ranger 11/Assassin 9 is pretty good if you're willing to go evil.

That would make a lot of sense as a Legion Sniper, a build I've been trying to make. You go Lawful Evil, for when killing someone without them ever knowing you were there, no matter what side you're on, it sort of makes you evil.

Just put skill points into what makes sense, and then you're good to go.

The build I tried for that would be Rogue 3, Swashbuckler 3, Fighter 4, Assassin 10. With the Swashbuckler, you get your intelligence on damage, so long as the weapon you're using can be used with your Dex/ Weapon Finesse. The Rogue should give you the requirements for Assassin, and Fighter is for hit points and feats. Assassin is there for obvious reasons.

The feats you'll want to take will be mostly focused around improving your sneaking skills and improving your attack and damage with your chosen weapon.

You probably won't be able to get the same benefits that a Ranger would get, but your damage on your attacks will be good if you keep your Int high.
We can axe if we want to, leave that sword behind. Because your friends don't axe, and if they don't axe then they're no friends of mine.

^ We're working on getting assassins (and other death attack classes) some PnP style swag. There was a coding hang-out which prevented this from rolling out a couple months back, but we're working on getting it sorted.

Montgomery Farmer is a legion scout/archer and ranger wannabe (No ranger levels, but he got the Track feat and survival skills). But no assassin for him. He is going the route of arcane archer - being a former apprentice of Dante Swift. On the plus side, level 10 AA gets a death attack too.

You can always go straight rogue, or mix in shadowdancer. Or you could do a custom scout type Fighter/rogue with a focus on archery and of course the Track feat. It would not be a power build or anything.

I'm pretty sure Swashbucklers don't get the bonus damage using ranged weapons...unless something's changed since I used to play Altherion :S

Allan's been getting his Int bonus on ranged attack damage, so maybe he's just bugged.
