Shadowrun Returns

This game recently went live on the Steam store.

Now I have always had a vague idea of what Shadowrun was, but I have never had the opportunity to either look at and play the original P&P game of Shadowrun nor have I played any of the previous video game incarnations, so that left me going into this with no expectations and no real sense of what to expect.

Now whilst so far I have found myself wishing it had a more 'open world, go out and explore' kind of feel, I have to say that the story so far is brilliant, with so many twists and convoluted turns that it reminds me of the crazy Gurps campaigns that GBX sometimes lets me get in on, and we all know how crazy and 'off the wall' GBX's plots can get

So for what it is worth, if you have looked at it and considered buying it but have yet to make a decision, let me say that it is well worth it..

Oh yes and lets not forget the fact that it has a toolset (that I admittedly have not yet looked at) So there is the potential for making your own stories..

I totally recommend this game, both Shadowrun Returns, and the Shadowrun P&P.
